"Beomgyu, huh?" Yeonjun asked, and Taehyun nodded, biting his lip. "What about him?"

"So like, he's been super nice to me for the past few days?" Taehyun tried to explain, but it came out more like a question.

"It's like, he's asking me how I am, then proceeding to accept all of my negative comments towards him with a smile? And the way he's smiling, it seems so genuine and pure and - UGH I JUST WANNA KNOW WHAT'S HIS DAMN PROBLEM!" Taehyun raised his voice in frustration towards the end, which caused Huening to flinch and Yeonjun to sigh.

"That's it?" Yeonjun asked. "That's your problem?"

Taehyun gave him an obvious look.

"He's smiling at you." Yeonjun repeated. "That's what's bothering you?"

"Well, yes!" Taehyun exclaimed, as if it was obvious. "He's my enemy, he's not allowed to smile at me!"

"If you smile back at him, you'll become friends." Yeonjun said, picking at his nails.

Taehyun? Smile? At? Beomgyu? Oh yes. Probably when he's fallen on the floor and in pain. He'll smile and maybe laugh too.

But do it for no reason, like Beomgyu was doing, no way.

"I'm not gonna smile at him." Taehyun said stubbornly, and Yeonjun sighed.

"It's a smile. I'm not asking you to kiss him." Yeonjun said, and Taehyun's jaw dropped for a moment before he quickly closed it again.

"You!" He pointed at Yeonjun accusingly. "You're always of no use. You're a waste."

Yeonjun shrugged. "You wanted me to help, I say go and smile at him back. It'll annoy him and he'll stop. And then you guys will go back to how you were. Back at each other's throat."

Taehyun thought about it for a while. It did make sense what Yeonjun advised. If Beomgyu smiling at him annoyed him, then it should annoy Beomgyu too, right? If it meant flashing smiles at Beomgyu for a short bit and then going back to normal, then it should be okay for Taehyun. Right?

Maybe.

"Fine, don't listen to me then." Yeonjun shrugged. "Probably go find some who can give you better advices."

"No I will." Taehyun smiled. "I'll listen to you."

Next day at school, Taehyun was ready to implement his plan. He smirked, feeling extremely proud for have coming up with a way to piss Beomgyu off. It was Yeonjun's idea, but since no one knew it, he could obviously take the credit for it.

He knew that Beomgyu being a goody two shoes as always, was probably already in class.

So he quickly made his way towards their class, where he'd find his prey.

Looking left and right Taehyun tip toed into the class, and kept out a lookout for Beomgyu.

He saw his sitting on his seat, giggling away with a girl. Upon looking closely, he recognized her as Soeun. Ugh, what the hell was this bitch doing in his class? And talking to his Beomgyu? Ahem- he meant his target Beomgyu.

"You really made me chug that shit down, eh?" Beomgyu laughed, and Soeun laughed along with him. Beomgyu began to be a bit more nicer to Soeun as well, like Soobin had asked him to. She wasn't as bad as her brother. The only thing was that she wanted to date Beomgyu. Which neither Beomgyu nor Soobin would allow.

Soobin found Soeun to be pretty cute.

"I mean, you were into it!" Soeun laughed along side him, which made Taehyun grunt.

"Damn, my hangover was bad all thanks to you, Soeun." Taehyun heard Beomgyu say.

Hangover? But from what Taehyun knew, Beomgyu was a nerd and he was a "good" boy. Good boys didn't drink before they're legal. It seemed like Beomgyu had done the evitable.

Did that mean, that Beomgyu was possibly at the party with Taehyun had been to not many days before? Taehyun would've done anything to see a drunk Beomgyu. A bummer, that Taehyun doesn't remember a single incident from the night.

He could use the moment to go snicker at him and shove it in his face that he couldn't do one job he had - being a nice lil' teacher's pet and ended up getting drunk. But he was supposed to carry out a very a tough task. Which was smile at Beomgyu.

Gathering up all the courage he had (trust me, it's an awfully tough task to smile at your enemy), he walked upto Soeun and Beomgyu.

"Hey Soeun." He smiled at his sister, which made her raise an eyebrow. Taehyun, smiling at her in public? Didn't he have a shitty personality to show? He looked down at Beomgyu. "Hey Beomgyu." He greeted, internally cringing. Then slowly (and painfully) cracked the same smile he had shown to Soeun not moments ago.

Beomgyu was super shocked at that movement of Taehyun's. A nice move, Kang. Beomgyu thought, and regained himself. He couldn't let the other see his hesitation.

"Hey Taehyun. How are you?" Beomgyu asked, smiling at him.

Fuck, he's doing the weird eyes disappearing shit again. Taehyun cursed internally, and wanted to kill himself for flinching in front of Beomgyu. He mostly definitely didn't expect Beomgyu to give him one of his pure looking smiles, he thought that he'd fight him for it.

"I'm good." He muttered. He remembered that polite people asked the question back. "What about you?" Taehyun asked, Beomgyu, their eyes locking.

Taehyun can recall those eyes from somewhere, they suddenly don't look like they belong to Beomgyu anymore. They remind of warmth, and of the night at the party. These eyes belonged to the person, the nice person who Taehyun had spent the night with. He can't recall it completely, but what was important, he knew it.

He just knew that the person was extremely caring and gave off extremely positive vibes. Almost like staying around the person would make Taehyun feel a weird sort of safe. He was being absurd. He was seeing a caring and nice person in Beomgyu. Which wasn't possible. Right?

On the other hand, Beomgyu tried to look into those button like eyes of Taehyun, and realised how much they suited him. How much those eyes complimented his personality. His real personality. Not his shitty one which he put on for a show.

Beomgyu wanted to see more of Taehyun's real self. He really hoped that the younger would stop being so cold to everyone around him. Like now. When he asked Beomgyu the simple question, he sounded so caring. Almost as if he cared for Beomgyu.

Shying away from the eye contact, Beomgyu looked away from Taehyun. He couldn't believe that he didn't notice the way Taehyun's eyes were before. He couldn't believe that he couldn't sense all of this before. "I'm fine too." He cleared his throat before answering.

The conversation died right there, which left Soeun confused, as boy the boys walked to their seat in awkward silence.

What just happened between Beomgyu and Taehyun?

You confuse me,Kang Taehyun.

Stop smiling like that, Choi Beomgyu.
