(Alby POV)
Newt is surprisingly fast,it's like impossible to catch up with him as he runs into the Maze,them he just stands there.
"What are you doing?" I demand.
"I could be dead in a second."
"No..."
"I'm not coming back. Everything's gone."
"What about me?"
"So have you. You don't care anymore."
"Is that what this is all about?"
"No. It's the end. Can't you see?"
"What!"
"Soon,we'll all be dead. You,Gally,Minho,Winston,Frypan."
"How?"
"The monsters,they'll come for you too."
"No they won't. I promise you."
"Don't make promises you don't intend to keep."
"I don't."
"Get our of here Alby."
"What?"
"GET OUT BEFORE THEY KILL YOU!"
"I'm not going to leave you. I'm not doing that."
"Why not?"
"Because if you die,I die to."
"Shut up!"
"Imagine-"
"Shut up!"
He starts to cry again,leaning against the maze wall as he clamps his hands over his ears. He starts to scream. I pick him up in my arms and carry him back to the Glade.
"I love you Alby.." He whispers,his eyes lightly closed.
"I love you too."
Once we arrive back I take him to Clint and Jeff,lying him down on the bed. Then I walk away to the showers,I take off my clothes then stand there as the warm water cloaks my body. I think about this place,everything. Newt.
I then put my hand over my mouth as I begin to sob,I can't let anyone hear me. I need to be strong,weak is not an option.
