"You gotta be kidding."
I looked at Greg who disliked my idea. I frowned at him while Sean and Keith stopped laughing. "You don't like Lyz to be part of our group?" This is unbelievable. I've always thought Greg is Lyz's and Pamy's "boy". Why would he react that way when I suggested to welcome her in our group?
"No, it's not her being part of our group that I'm against of. It's that 'initiation' thing. I don't think that sounds good to welcome a girl like her," he argued. That's new, Greg rarely argue with us. It's either he say no nicely when disapproving or just turn his back on us when he really disagree, but not the "shaking-his-head-and-saying-no-with-conviction" that he is doing right now. "No.."
"Dude, where's the cool Greg we know? Besides, we did that to Ashley and Pamy and they were cool about it, in fact they enjoyed the "throw" ", Sean kept on insisting that. Keith helped him convince Greg while I choose to keep silent first. I know what to do and I have made up my mind so nothing can change that anymore.
"Yeah, even Pamy, she wasn't excempted, remember how she screamed when we ruined her hair during the initiation?" Keith recalled and we all laughed at the memory years ago. "She hit me a hundred times, I swear!"
We stopped laughing when we Pamy's car parked infront of the house. "Speaking of the religious devil..." They went outside to see Pamy while I stayed inside for a while, still puzzled with weird things happening between Greg, Ashley and the nerd, I mean Elyzabeth Dale. I don't know, there's something special about her, not that I feel something special about her, but there's something really mysterious about her and I think Greg and Ashley know about whatever that is, I really have that feeling. I tried to recall weird things that I could connect.
Ashley was troubled when I saw her in the clinic to check on Lyz.
Then, I saw Lyz with Ashley and Georgia on the mall and it looks like they were shopping not for Ashley but for Lyz.
Ashley is actually very protective of Lyz, to the extreme that she defends her from her bestfriend Tracy.
I saw Greg and Ashley in a restaurant and they seemed talking about something really serious, then Greg is always by Lyz and Pamy.
Ashley over reacted when Lyz was drugged, to the fact that she cried the whole time, and then she took care of her hospitalization.
Lastly, I heard Mum and Georgia say the word "adoption" and "bastard" while they were talking on our private living room.
I know the truth now. That's the reason why I considered her being part of our group. She is still Ashley's family and I don't want her having a hard time keeping that from us. Even if I cause her a complicated status, I can't bear to see her miserable because of other things. I am already too much for her pain.
"Whoah! The nerd is here, we can leave now!" I heard Sean exclaiming then most likely squealed while laughing which was followed by a painful cry. "You slap like a gorilla, do you know that!" i saw him complaining while the rest of the guys transfer the girls' stuffs to the jeep. I found myself walking towards them while watching Sean having fun with the snappy Lyz who looked like she just came from her bed on her hoodie, simple skinny jeans and slippers. Yeah, slippers, just slippers. I wonder how a guy would ever turn this girl to a fine chic. Really, that would use a lot of effort.
"Where's Ashley? I thought she's with you?" I watched Lyz's eyes simply scanned me head to foot. For a moment I believed she was checking me out but the way her eyes bored on mine made me feel that she felt insecurity rather than admiration. Well, if that's her issue, I'm a god of masculine beauty so this lesbian better back off.
