This may be an awkward title..haha.. im such a weird writer so i hope u guys bear with that.... lol...

So this would be the start of the hunt for Elyzabeth Dale... really weird term huh? cant get over with it... as if shes some animal the four guys would prey... (im sick...lol)

Chapter 8 - The Hunt

"Is she there?"

Keith shook his head as an answer. Today is Thursday and we've been searching, or hunting, for Elyzabeth Dale since yesterday but once she gets out of the room after classes, she disappears. No one knows where she's hiding. I clenched my teeth while standing alone infront of the library. Keith has gone somewhere, maybe trying to find the girl elsewhere.

I put my hands on my waist while thinking whether to enter the two-story library building or not. It is adjacent to the three-story Admin Building where the school offices like the school registrar, guidance, faculty room, school administrators and club offices are at. Only a staircase separates the two buildings. I can't decide if I should believe Keith or not. Maybe he's lying. Elyzabeth Dale could be there inside and he was just rejected by the rude girl and he didn't want me to have the chance to be with her coz he is afraid of the truth that I am irresistible and that I would win so fast.

Really, Dustin? After how she treated you last Tuesday and how she ignored you all those past days, you're still thinking you're irresistible?

I shook my head while searching the whole library, scanning every sections and all the shelves, up and down. Yesterday, the first place where we all went to, in a race, is in this library. Why wouldn't she be here? She's a nerd and nerds live in library, right? But she wasn't there. The librarian said she rarely went there. We didn't believe that, of course, so we scanned the library logbook and didn't find any Elyzabeth Dale signed there. That's the reason why today, this is the last place in my list to search for her. And again, she's not there.

I felt irritated when I noticed everyone's looking at me. Some ugly girls in their thick glasses are staring at me like I'm some kind of specimen under a microscope. A few geeks are giving me weird looks. I raised my eyebrows at them. "What???" They all averted their eyes, afraid of me. I smirked while going to the exit, still trying to think where to find her. Whoah. She's a great hide and seek player. We've searched the whole school and found not even a glimpse of her.

I got tired of walking without pace and went back infront of the library and sat at the beautiful fountain there. I stared restlessly at the stairs. The guard made sure she didn't leave the school, but we can't find her anywhere. She doesn't even show herself to the cafeteria since our scene last Tuesday and Pamy said she doesn't know where she is. Greg and Pamy seemed to stick together and during classes they were always with Elyzabeth. Where in this school could she be? She's not in the lockers, in the library, cafeteria, benches, school ground, in any clubs or offices and not even in any of the ladies' room.

Where else have we not searched her yet?

I bored my eyes in the stairs. The huge school clock says I only have thirty minutes before our next classes. My eyes followed the stairs upward. Where could this be going? Something snapped on me. Nobody has tried the rooftop yet! I grabbed my backpack and rushed towards the stairs and climbed it like the chainsawman was following me. I never thought it would be tiring to climb but my excitement provided me the energy. I took deep breaths while rushing and I think I smelled the cherry blossoms. And there the person we've been looking for, lying on the floor like peacefully sleeping only that her big eyes are looking at the clear blue skies. I stopped and panted.
