ARIANA'S POV:
Bewilderment was all over his face but she focused and said, "I'm coming right away. Arrange for an emergency meeting until I return."
Then, Xander hung up the call and he growled, "We need to return to the penthouse immediately!"
We climbed to the hill where we left our clothes. He put on his hoodie and grabbed his bag. I only got time to wear my jeans because he grabbed my arm and rushed to the car. While I was running on my way back to the car, I put on my top and jacket. He threw the bag on the back seat and got into the driver's seat. I sat on the front seat anxiously and he drove the car in high speed.
There has been an attack and whenever there's some sort of attack or war, lives have been taken. Everyone can't survive... People you care about, die. Of course I was worried. I couldn't even look at him. I was getting more and more emotionally attached to him with every passing day. My feelings for him were getting stronger every time I looked at him and so was the fear of losing him...
I sighed and tried to console myself because I felt terrified! That's when I felt his hand on my thigh. He soothed, "Relax, Ariana. Don't get so worked up. Everything's gonna be fine."

I looked outside the window of the car to distract myself as we drove back home.
XANDER'S POV:
As soon as we reached the penthouse, I asked Ariana to get into her room as I rushed to the basement where the emergency meeting was being conducted. I entered the basement's meeting room and noticed Liam, Damien, Jane, Jaxon, Max, Salvatore, Chloe, Noah and Aya standing in a circle. Liam greeted me, "Morning, Xander. As per your orders, I brought all of your trusted people together into an emergency meeting and... Khalid Zahir's daughter."
