Chapter 1
"SIENNA YOU BETTER BE UP BEFORE I REACH YOUR BEDROOM" my mother shouts while I swing the covers off of me.
My first day of high-school and I ended up getting into the same one as my brothers. They've been in this school since 6th grade and are going into 10th so, they know everybody and everybody knows them. It's free clout but quite embarrassing. I knew all of the kids in my grade, except the new ones of course. Everybody from my elementary school went straight into this one (including my crush). South Prep High, the school of your dreams. There were halls as long as giraffes' necks and full length lockers.
I was ready, I was excited. I shower and throw my uniform on, run downstairs and take a bite of food, kiss my mom and get into my car to drive to school. But then of course, my brothers get in their car right behind me. I don't not like being seen with them but I don't want to be, I'm already known as Hayden and Haye's little sister in our town. I didn't need to hear it for four years in high-school as well.
I see them flip me off in my rear view mirror and they text me that they're spending the week at their friends house.
Hayes: We're spending the week at our friend's house. Only time we'll see you is at school. Have a good day midget.
I'm not that much shorter than them but they insist on calling me that. Before driving away and arriving at school a couple minutes later. I see all the kids talking to each other and me scanning for Lilly. She's been my best friend since 3rd grade, when she heard that I wasn't going here for middle school she decided to transfer to the school I was at so I wasn't alone. She's always been there for me, I love her.
"Sienna over here" I hear her shout as she waves her hand frantically wanting me to walk faster towards her.
"Hey!" I say while giving her a hug then taking a step back to see her plaid skirt with a white collar shirt tucked into it, but then I get to her shoes and see she has on the ones she got me last year for my birthday.
"Do you like them?" She asks me "I hope you don't mind that I got them as well, I couldn't help myself they are just so cute a-"
I cut her off and responded "Yes they look great on you. After all you are a size 3 in kids unlike me a size 9.5 in women's" I chuckle while walking hoping she takes the hint.
"Ha ha, very funny" She says. "Nenna..." She's been calling me that since we were kids. She couldn't get the first part of my name right so she called me Nenna and it just stuck.
"Yeah? I say furrowing my brows.
"We have no classes together, I couldn't help but log into your account last night and see you schedule sorry" She says looking sad but not like she'd cry.
"Fuck. That sucks." I give her a blunt response but only because I am oh so eager to get to my class.
"Well I guess I better get going." She tells me "See you at lunch" She heightens her voice making it a question like we wouldn't see each other in the hallway on our way to second period.
"Yeah" I say, letting out a chuckle and looking at my schedule then trying to find the room my class was in. I hear the hallways get quite as the kids go into their designated rooms. Looking at the schedule then looking back up at the rooms I run into somebody and my schedule falls.
"Shit, sorry" I say while bending down to grab the paper.
"It's fine" A deep voice responds. I look up at him to give a small smile and continue to search only to feel his hand grab my arm stopping me from walking. He turned me around and looked at me again with furrowed brows and a tilted head.
"Sienna?" He says.
I looked concerned. I don't know if he knew me or stalked me online but I responded "Yeah that's...me. Can I help you?"
He looked me up and down then let out a chuckle, "You don't remember me do you" He asks with a smirk on his face.
"No, sorry I don't. Did we meet this summer? " I ask while trying to think about who he is.
"I'll give you a hint, turtle bracelet" He says.
Then I realized who he was. Memories from the last day of fifth grade come flooding back. We liked each other so much and he knew everything about my 7 year old self there is to know. He had given me a brown bracelet with a wooden turtle on the top of it. It was him, Devon "Devon?" I say not knowing if I was 100% correct
