Chapter 11

I go to play some music for the quick shower I'm about the take when I get a text.

Lilly: Hello.

Me: What do you want?

Lilly: Just meet me at the coffee shop before school.

I don't respond to the message but I move faster than I would and tell the boys I'm meeting somebody before school.

Me: Hey, I'm going to meet Lilly before school. If I end up being late can you cover for me?

Devon: Yeah sure...what are you guys doing?

Me: No clue.

I walk to my room and slip my clothes on. Walking down the steps and grab my car keys while putting my bag on my back.

"Bye" Trevor says with his accent

"Goodbye" I look him in the eyes and leave.

On the way to the coffee shop there are so many thoughts running through my head. What are we going to talk about? Are we going to argue again? Is she going to say they broke up? Before I know it I'm at the shop and going inside and seeing her sitting twiddling with her thumbs.

"Hello" I sit down across from her.

"Hi" She gives a small smile and looks back down at her thumbs.

"What do you want?"

"To be friends again." She looks away from her thumbs and at my eyes. "I know I'm dating the ex that broke your heart but I'm not ending it. I love him and he loves me. I'm sorry about how all of this went down but I miss you. I miss talking to you in the morning and gossiping at lunch. Please."

"I'll think about it." I get up and go to my car texting Laura everything.

I arrive at the school and go to the everyday classes but there is not much to do as it is the second to last day of school.

"Hey" Trevor smiles at me while I'm at my locker cleaning it out.

"Hi" I give a subtle answer putting papers and books in my bag.

"How are you?"

"I don't like small talk" I look at him with a slight frown.

"You're frowning" He touches my forehead with his finger. He slides it down and his hand cups my face. "You're very pretty"

"Thanks" I move back slowly and he drops his hand. I see Laura behind him and I walk her way.

"What was that?" She looks at me above her sunglasses

"Nothing" I keep walking and go to my car seeing Lilly pressed up on it.

"Thought about it yet?" She walks to me.

"No. Need more time." I put my bag in the back seat and go around to the driver's side. I finally get off of school grounds. I go inside and hear Hayden and Hayes in my room.

"Why are you guys in here?" I ask before opening the door.

"Shit" I hear Hayes say while moving things around.

"You've got to be kidding me" I scoff when I see Devon on the bed and Hayes sitting on the chair at my desk. "What were you guys doing? Having a gossip party?" I put my bag down on my bed and tell Hayes to leave.

"Hello" Devon's eyes are red and he is smiling uncontrollably.

"Are you high?" I take a deep breath before realizing they  were smoking in my room so they wouldn't get in trouble.
