"I'll catch a ride with Laura." I tell him not wanting things to be weird between us but, me going with Laura and not him made things weird.

A couple months pass and we still haven't talked about the kiss. But just last week we kissed again. I don't know what made him do it but he did. I of course went along wanting to do this everyday but I knew that wouldn't happen. We don't talk as much as we used to but when we see each other in the halls we have small talk conversations. 20 texts from a group chat with Laura, Lilly and I

5 notifications from Instagram

I check the messages with the girls first.

Laura: Guys I've decided to have an end of the year party tonight. It's a Friday and my parents are out of town for the weekend

Lilly: Do your parents ever stay home?

Laura: Nope. That's why I always have the best parties

She was right . Her parents are almost always out of town and her house is huge with a huge pool in the back. She's an only child so she gets anything she wants and then some.

Lilly: Why? It's the last month, not the last day.

Laura: I'm going to throw one today and then the last day of school

Lilly: Okay. What are you going to wear?

Laura: Don't know yet. I think I'll go shopping after school.

Lilly: Sure

They talk about outfits the rest of the time. I go to check my messages from Devon.

Devon: Morning. After school, meet me at my car. I want to take you somewhere.

Me: Where?

Devon: It's a surprise!

Me: I don't like those

Devon: Well you will today.

I get dressed and go to school. I stop at Starbucks to get a coffee to push me through the day as I only got 5 hours of sleep. Mrs. Finch gave us a 10 page essay due today and I waited until the last minute to finish it. Never doing that again.

"Hey girl," Laura says, swinging her arm around my shoulder.

"Hey" I say, taking a sip of my coffee.

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah, Devon, just asked me to meet him in his car after school. He wants to take me somewhere." I can't help but blush when I say what he texted me.

"OMG GIRL HE'S GOING TO ASK YOU OUT!!" Laura shouts every time she's excited. She was really excited.

"Laura, you're screaming!" I pinch her arm making her aware of her volume.

"Hey guys!" Lilly says skipping up to Laura and I.

"Hey" I say.

"DEVON'S GOING TO ASK SIENNA OUT!!" Laura shouts again this time people start staring.

"Oh god" I say putting my hand to my face and speed walking into the school.

"Nenna if he does what are you going to say??" Lilly asks me speed walking as well

"I don't know. I don't think I want to be in a relationship. But then again I've wanted this since 5th grade where we thought hugging was kissing." I laugh and open my locker to get my books. I see Devon out of the corner of my eye.
