Chapter 4

We walk upstairs and start making the pillow wall. I start falling asleep when I hear the floor creak. I sit up and see him trying to go downstairs, too tired to do or say anything I go right back to sleep.

When I wake up I check my phone to see what time it is.

"Only 6:47. Great" I say groggily. I try to go back to sleep but can't when I smell pancakes. I go downstairs to see Devon cooking pancakes with bacon and eggs. Pretty generic but it's my favorite.

"You remembered?" I ask him while rubbing my eyes and walking down the last step.

"Of course!" He says while flipping the pancakes.

"We have to be at school early today. My brothers went in early and I'd like to get my car." I tell him while getting plates and forks with knives.

"Sure I just have to shower and get dressed and stuff then we can go" He says while putting two pancakes on my plate and three on his. Some eggs and three pieces of bacon on my plate and the rest on his. We eat and talk a little bit about clubs we love and classes we hate. I clean the dishes while he showers.

"I have to go to my house really quickly to get clothes! Oh and Laura is having a back to school party today!" I shout while opening the door and going to get clothes.

"Okay be back before 8:30" He shouts as I walk out.

I get to my house and pull out my phone to text Lilly.

Me: Lilly Guess What!!

Lilly: What??

Me: I just spent the night a Devon's

Lilly: NO FUCKING WAY!!

I could tell she was happy for me as I was happy for myself

Me: I'm getting clothes from my place now. Hayden and Hayes took my car for the week  but I'm going to try and take them back. If all goes well I'll be getting a ride to school from him all week!

Lilly: Lmao girl if all goes well you'll be spending the week at his house. But you should really try and get your car back.

Me: At this point I don't care about the car. Just him ;)

Lilly: Lol! I'll see you at school.

Me: kk

I grab a skirt and a white collar shirt. I got a zip up navy blue champion hoodie and put it on. I grab black high top converse and I'm out the door going to Devon's house to get my bag. I see him walking out the door with my bag and his going to the car.

"Why thank you" I say, putting my shoulder length hair behind my ear. 

"Anything for you Lamby" He says while bursting out into laughter.

"I can't believe you remember that!!" I say opening the door to get into the car. In 3rd grade I was really shy and had this lamb stuffed animal. It went everywhere with me until one day I couldn't find it. Little do you know I turn around seeing him play with it. I told him the name of it 'Lambchop' and he started calling me Lamby.

"Of course I remember, you were obsessed with that thing"

"Oh shut up and drive"

We arrive at school and I see Laura talking to Lilly right by her car. I met Laura in 8th grade. It was just a coincidence that she was going there for highschool. Of course me and Lilly being joined at the hip she started to get to know Lilly at  and outside of school.

"Hey guys" I say walking to them and waving bye to Devon

"What's that about" Laura says looking at me with a smirk

"She spent the night at his house!" Lilly shouts

"OMG! Lilly you're so loud"

"Oh please everybody knows you guys have the hots for each other" Laura say

"Ew nobody even says that anymore" Lilly says chuckling "You guys have the hots for each other" She says mimicking Laura. I see my brother park their car and run right to them.

"See you guys at lunch" I say while running to Hayden who just locked the car. I grab the keys and keep running when I bump into this tall male who has a British accent when he talks to me.

"Ouch?" He says looking down at me who is on the ground from not paying attention when running with my keys. He reaches his hand to me, helping me get up.

"Thanks" I say dusting myself off and quickly trying to get my keys before my brothers do but of course I fail with my slow reflexes.

"Thank you for those '' Hayes says with my keys twirling around his finger.

"Give them back guys!" I shout making everybody look at me who has my back up against this strangers front and my brothers who are smiling at the fact they have my car.  "Estoy llamando a mamá '' I tell them pulling my phone out to call her. They look at the guy behind me and nod their head. Before I know it he's snatching my phone.

"Who the hell do you think you are?! Give me my phone!" I say hitting his privates causing him to grab his crotch and hand me my phone. "Give me my phone or I'm doing the same to you" I tell my brothers as Hayes slowly backs away handing me my keys. "Tell this fucker to stay the fuck away from me" I say with a stern tone.  "We'll need those keys after school," Hayden says, going to help his friend up. I flip them off and open the school doors to go to class.

The end of the day comes and I run into Hayden and Hayes's friend. The one that took my phone. 

"Sorry about earlier. They had lent their car to me and I told them I'd do them any favor." He says brushing his arm on mine then walking and stopping in front of me.

"Yeah whatever" I tell him looking up from my phone to see him looking at me "What? Can you get out of my way please?"

"No" He says with his British accent

"No?"

"No. I'd like to talk to you"

I could tell he was flirting with me but I had my eyes on somebody else. He keeps talking and I keep not paying attention to him. I hear the door open and it's my brothers.

"Qué quieren ustedes?" I ask them in spanish trying to keep the Brit out of our business

"Las claves por favor" Hayden says knowing Hayes doesn't really know what we're saying

"No. Se puede recuperar su coche" I walk to turn around and before I can Hayes is holding my shoulders so I can't. I feel Hayden go in my back pocket and take my keys. "Guys stop please. Get your damn car from your friend and give me mine!"

"No can do little sis" They walk away and toss their car keys to their friend that is now behind me.

"Bye" He says with a soft tone.

I hear the school doors open and see Devon.

"Everything okay?" He asks me putting his arm around me as we walk to his car. I look at his arm and pretend to drop something to see if he'd do it again. He didn't.

"Yep. Just my brothers being the pieces of shit they are" I say rolling my eyes.

"Oh you have my car. Don't be such a mad lamby." He says tickling me.

"Stop...Calling...Me....That" I pause between each word trying to stop him from tickling me. I of course have to tickle him back. I tickle him and now we look like two psychos tickling each other. This goes on for about a minute before my hand slips and touches him. He lets out a grunt.

"Fuck. Sorry. I didn't mean to do that. My hand slipped and I wasn't really paying attention sor-" I get cut off as his lips touch mine. I underestimated how soft his lips were. When they touched mine I felt so many butterflies in my stomach but then he pulls away. I hear the school door open again and I see it's Lilly, Laura, and some other kid I've never seen before. Devon's hands are still cupping my face when they turn and see us knowing what just happened.

"It's fine," He says walking to the driver's side.

"I'll catch a ride with Laura." I tell him not wanting things to be weird between us but me going with Laura and not him made things weird.
