I wake up to something cold. Something like metal. A try to open my eyes but a bright light shines on me. I open my eyes a little. A female ahead pops up in front of my face.
"He's awake!" she shouts. She waves to the rest of the room and a scurry of people circle around me.
A guy looks at me straight in the eye. He looks dangerously scary and tough.
"Good. Get up," he says with a annoyingly rude tone.
"Where are-?"
"Don't ask questions kid!" The man screams at me and looks at me in disgust. I lift my hands up. "Okay. Fine."
I get up and he pulls me of the metal table. He pushes me roughly by the shirt. I start to walk. "Hurry up!" he screams at me.
The man pushes me again but way harder this time. I start to trip on objects and then I fall face first. My back is facing the ceiling.
I groan. My elbows had hit the ground hard. I lift myself up and I see Kowa being held by three men. One man on an arm and another on an arm. She kicks at them a few more times but it only affected the man behind her. Kowa stops trying and let's the men carry her. She soon meets my gaze and she smiles weakly. I stand up on my legs slowly then I start to run to her fiercer than ever. The man before grabs me by the waist swiftly and I start to punch and kick.
But it was useless. I could never beat a guy two times as buff as me. He places me down and pushed me down the hallway. The man led me through the building, pushing me after a couple of hallways.
When I arrived in the lobby, my aunt ran up to me and hugged me.
"Darren. Oh, Darren. What do you think you're doing?" She looks at me and her expression is full of disappointment. "I did nothing wrong," I say but I did everything wrong.
I beat up two men for a girl I barely knew. I tried to save her and then got attacked my a man that's like a wolf. I stayed in a cave with a girl that I didn't know, alone. I left my aunt's house without a note or phone call of any sort. My aunt must have been worried sick.
My aunt doesn't say anything but only looks at me in sad eyes.
She shakes her head slightly and walks with me to her car.
I walk behind her. I stuff my hands in my pockets.
In the corner of my eye I see Kowa being dragged by two different men. They are more buff as before and Kowa has scratches all over her face. Her hair is stuck together by blood. The two men continue to drag her and her shoes are starting to tear at the bottom. I let out a small gasp and she looks up. Her eyes are filled with terror and madness.
She looks away from me and let's the two men drag her. They push her into the backseats of a black car. One of the men approach her door and a loud smack and scream come right after. I start to walk toward the car but my aunt grabs my arm.
She pulls me gently to her car and opens the door for me. I sit down obediently. I hear another loud scream and my aunt close the door quickly. She sits down and closes her door. She puts the key in the ignition and starts to drive. We pass by the car and I see a man with a bloody hand ready to give Kowa another slap. I close my eyes and clench my fists.
I stuff my hands in my pocket again and I touch something. I open my eyes and pull the object out. It was the piece of paper I took right after we beat up the two men. I start to un crinkle it. My aunt looks at my hands and grabs the piece of paper and stuffs it in her purse. I didn't need to see it anymore. I saw enough words already. "Damage her."
