A cold, dark chill ran over my body. I sit up quickly and I'm not in a room anymore. Forget a room. I'm not even in a building anymore.
I'm in a hut or a cabin. Small slits of light pour, only allowing me to see the frame. Someone enters and I grab for a gun but find nothing. "Darren?" The sweet and innocent voice of Kowa vibrates in the small space.
"Kowa?" I use my hands to feel around. It's a tad bit dark in here. Kowa moves something and brightness fills the room immediately. I close my eyes and quickly adjust.
Kowa was holding some large, thick, green leaves from an entryway.
A cold chill tickles my chest and I look down. A large bandage covers more than half of my chest.
"Kowa? How long have I slept for?"
"12 whole days."
The response surprises me. She notices my shock and smiles. "It's alright. Well it was pretty difficult to feed you and all but it was worth it. Especially after all the times you helped me." Kowa looks at the floor and plays with her hands. Her cheeks are immediately covered with a cute pinkish blush.
I smile at Kowa and she lifts her eyes. Her hair has been free of the black sticky substance and her hair has grown a few inches. Kowa moves closer and smiles at me. I smile back and her eyes are back to their full shining way.
I gently take her hands in mine. Kowa's hands are warm and everywhere we meet, little sparks of heat threaten at my skin. I love her touch against mine. I move Kowa closer to me and Kowa lays her head on my shoulder. I smile at Kowa and she looks up at me. Her smile is something nobody would miss any day.
She smiles again and her cheeks fill with another cute layer of blush. I can't help but lift Kowa's face slowly and kiss her gently. And oh geez. Her lips are wonderful.
