Side Story #7 Bruno and Mayka

Mayka's POV

I was about to go to school when I suddenly feel heavy. I am feeling cold.
My body is aching when I woke up but it's tolerable. I think it's normal for the first time.

After discussion with the newbies, I returned to our room to rest. I decided to skip classes today and just sleep.

I was in a deep sleep when awakened by a pair of hands on my cheeks.

"What the hell?" I exclaimed.

Bruno was sitting beside me topless.

"You didn't go to class? Are you sick?" He placed the back of his hand on my forehead. " You have a fever, hon."
My heart is fluttering whenever Bruno calls me using that endearment. He sounded so sweet. I am falling more.

"No, I just need rest." Bruno lay down beside me and wrapped his arm around my body.
"Don't you think it's too hot?"

"That's exactly what I want." He kissed me on my cheek and stood up. "I need to get some medicines first."

"Be careful not to tell Miles, okay?"
That preggy is so nosy. He will be suspicious if he found out that I am sick.

"I'll be quick." He replied and stormed out of our room.

When he gets back, he has a big paper bag full of food. He went out to the convenience store for sure. He may be quiet most of the time but I can feel Bruno's sincerity towards me.

He carefully put it on the table. He prepared food and medicine for me. "I am sorry for being rough."

"Shut up! Why do you need to say that? Just eat too, will you?"

He was just staring at me while I eat the soup that he bought. I glared back.
"Thank you for last night. I will treat you better. Don't worry."
He fixed my hair.

"I am okay. Don't look at me like I am a weak and soft guy."

He just smiled. Those chinky eyes. How can he be handsome, hot, and cute at the same time?

"I really love you, Mayka."
He is not vocal but I love it when he says that he loves me.

Our relationship has been smooth sailing after months of being together.

Today, Miles is scheduled to deliver his triplets so we are all busy.

"Hon, I need to go to the hospital early to check the place again. You sleep more. I set the alarm at 7:30." He didn't even wait for my response.

I return to sleep again and when I woke up, I was bombarded by Bruno's miscalls and texts saying Miles already gave birth but still not waking up." It's a good thing that I have no duty today.

I rushed to the hospital. Bruno was there looking at me. Is he not going to hug or kiss me like a normal couple?

"I am going to check the area, sir." He just tapped my shoulder before leaving. Are we bros?

"Hon!" He turned around. "Did you take your lunch already?" I asked him. It's late and I know him very well. He skipped the meal again. It's different if he is with Miles because my brother will force him to have lunch even if he doesn't want to.

"I am not hungry." He replied. I am right.

"Take your lunch first. I'll check the area on your behalf."

"No, stay here. It's your off today." He refused.

"You two, just take your lunch both, okay? Mayka, bring him to the cafeteria." Sir Cade ordered.
