An hour later, I was still in labor. I still had a breathing mask, and at this point I couldn't open my eyes at all, they were closed tight. But, the doctor told me the baby was almost out.
I kept pushing harder, and harder. Suddenly, the baby was out! Finally! I was still in pain. Still couldn't, see, and even with the breathing mask it was hard to breath. I felt a really sharp pain in my chest like something was stabbing me.
I turned my head, hearing Cody's voice, I knew what was going to happen. I tried to open my eyes to see his beautiful face, but they wouldn't open. I looked for his hand with my hand feeling around, I found it and squeezed tight.
That's when I took the mask off, and tried my hardest to open my eyes. They opened for seconds, and I'm glad they did. My last words to him were "March, 27th. Take care of her. I love you, you can do it all by yourself, you're a great daddy, forever in my heart and memories, see you in heaven."
Seconds later, all I could hear was Cody on the floor crying, and I seen the light. The bright light, in my eyes, my heart had stopped, and that's the last time I seen the love of my life, Cody Michael Costa.
