• hello hello! welcome back to a long overdue update for this book! i've been working on a few of my drafts here on wattpad lmao- anyways! happybelated july 4th if you live in the united states, and happy belated canada day if you are from canada! i hope you all enjoy this update, i'll have more out soon in the coming weeks!

the summer heat was almost unbearable, for people who didn't have a temperature related quick anyways that is. the bakusquad decided to take a trip to the beach to try and cool down. the boys of the squad had been at the beach for a good 4 hours, the two girls still having not shown up yet. "when is mina and y/n gonna show up..." denki groaned in annoyance. sero and kirishima had gotten back up from the beach towels underneath the large umbrella they had sat up. 

"let's go get back in the ocean, they'll show up eventually!" kirishima said while running across the hot sand with sero following closely behind. bakugou grunted in disbelief, not wanting to even be on a beach with the three idiots he had as friends. a few books sat beside the fiery blonde, them all being romance novels he had just bought when they went to go buy an umbrella since denki forgot the one he was supposed to bring with them. 

a few people were scattered around the area, dotting the sand and the water in small clusters. the three boys bakugou had came with, were messing around in the water. splashing each other and jumping into waves. "bakubro! you should come get in!" kirishima yelled, laughing with a big grin on his face as his hair fell around his features. "heck no!" bakugou yelled back, crossing his legs and grabbing one of the romance novels out of the stack. a few more moments went by before kirishima looked back towards the towels and saw mina running down the stairs with small bag of her own. "mina!" the red haired boy yelled as he ran out of the water to go greet the pink haired girl.  

when the three mop headed boys came out of the water, bakugou finally looked up when he saw an extra pair of legs come up to the umbrella. "y/n too!" denki bolted towards the shade and fawned over the two girls in swimwear. "can you shut up dunce face?" bakugou growled out as you sat down under the umbrella with a small bag of books and snacks. kirishima and sero quite literally dragged mina to the water as denki followed along. "i didn't know you were coming along with mina." bakugou spoke out, looking up from the romance novel in his hands. 

"well, she dragged me here. i'm assuming kirishima did the same to you?" you asked as bakugou chuckled out, nodding as he sat the book down. "he said it wasn't manly if i didn't show up, said i was training too much." bakugou rolled his eyes as you laughed lightly. the two of you joked around, laughing at each others jokes before deciding to get into the water far enough away from the other squad members.

bakugou was deep in the water, jumping into waves himself, as you watched from thigh high water. "what's wrong? don't tell me you're scared of water idiot!" the blonde teased before making his way back over to where you stand. "um, anyways." you laughed as the sun set in the distance, the laughter of mina and sero sounding through the nearby areas as kirishima and denki slapped each other; trying to see who could last the longest above water without being pushed over by the other. bakugou had trudged his was through the outgoing wave to get back over to you and wrap your arm around torso. "let's go, i won't let you drown you nerd."
