weeks had gone by and soon you'd forgotten everything about that weekend. you ignored your friends because they always wanted to party when you just wanted to sleep. you had a job interview coming up within a hour and a half, so you went and got ready. most of your nicer clothes had never been brought out because you mostly lounged around in your sweats and a oversized hoodie.

you did have a job a few days ago, until the store went under and had to let go of all the employees. you didn't mind since you never really liked the store anyways. that, was until, you got your rent bills for your apartment. the price had went up. so of course, you looked around for a job. thinking to yourself, you got out a nice dress top and a pair of jeans. within a few minutes you were ready. a dress top, nice jeans, and a pair of flats. that is the look you went for.

the hero-agency you had a job interview for, was only a few blocks away from your apartment. after thirty minutes had passed; you had finally got called in for the interview. they asked questions, and you answered. "here on your resume it says..." the interviewer didn't get the chance to finish the question. an alarm had went off and metal sheets had slide over the windows. "what is going on?" you asked in a calm yet panicked voice. "we are under attack..."

their words rang through your head. maybe i should have stayed home today... you thought as the person grabbed your arm and led you to the stairwell. "go upstairs and hide!" and with that, they ran down the stairs to the lobby. though the situation was weird, you did what you were told. hopefully it wasn't too serious and it was a false alarm? crash. well, it wouldn't be the first time you were wrong. you ended up taking off your flats as you ran up the stairs. you ended up finding that there was burn marks all over the walls and a ton of people that were most likely dead, on the floor scattered about.

it could have been worse. but seeing a dead body was never a thing you could've gotten used to. no one could have gotten used to seeing a dead body. no one should have to get used to seeing a dead body, but then again... you couldn't control anything. it was what is was. you had found a hiding spot while you thought to yourself. sure, it wasn't going to protect protect. but it would do the job for now.

screams, footsteps, and loud noises were heard from all around you on the bottom floors below. it wasn't a great time to have scheduled a job interview. totally not. soon, the footsteps came up the stairs. you crept down the hallway to the other set of stairs you noticed when looking for a hiding spot. "do you have the information?" a female asked as a grunt was made in reply. "of course." a male replied to the woman. if it was fate or not, you accidently kicked a trash can over.

"did you hear that?" all voices went silent as you stopped dead in your tracks. being the clumsy person you are, you bumped into a wall while backing up. "shit.." you mumbled as the footsteps ran over to where you were. in a reflex; you bolted to the stairs and flung the door open. running full speed with the villains behind you. "you'll end up on the roof soon you dumbass! we will have you then." they yelled behind you, two flights down still. the only thing you had to thank UA for, was getting you to be a better runner. let's just say, you barely did anything in the management department.

just as the bad guys had predicted. the roof was on the 8th floor of the building. and you, no evidence against it, had ran onto the rooftop. reporters and pro-heros were on the ground below. waiting for the villains to escape. you stopped dead in your tracks again. two options. that was it. two options was all you had. one, get killed. or two, jump off the roof and possibly die as well. eh, you only live once. you took a deep breath as the villains had finally reached the roof. "now now now, don't do anything dumb." the man screamed. all the people on the ground looked up. "look! it's a woman being backed closer to the edge!" a reporter yelled out. the building, below was on fire. the flames licked out the windows and continued to climb up to the very floor you were on.

of course. all eyes were on you. the pro's couldn't do anything about the situation you were in. but still... "i have to make mistakes once or twice before i learn my lesson." you mumbled with a small smile. you turned around and ran. everyone was confused. "what the hell is she doing?" the reporter said as you got closer to the edge. each running step. closer and closer. until, you leaped off the side and slammed your eyes closed.

free falling. weightless. quickly, falling, falling. whoosh..! "you got to be more careful kid." you opened your eyes to see hawks. the man who had saved you from falling off a roof for a second time. "your making my job harder and harder. hold on tight, kid~." hawks smiled as he held you closer to his chest and flew close to the ground and away from the building he had just saved you from. hawks ended up flying away from the center of the city.

once you two landed, he let you go. "how do you remember me, pro-hero hawks?" you asked as he gagged. "please kid. just call me hawks." the bird man smiled again and looked out to the center of the city from the hill you two landed on. "just answer the question bird man." you rolled your eyes and put your shoes back on. "fine, fine!" he brushed off his shoulders and puffed his red wings. "how could i forget someone so gorgeous?" hawks smirked as you then proceeded to gag. "you must have a bad memory for a bird. i looked ugly when we first met." he shook his head a got close to your ear.

"you were so pretty, i fell for you twice. kid; you made me fall in love with you two different times."
