The neighbours found the dead bodies the day after. The police was investigating on the crime scene but Remi was sure he didn't leave any trace.
Remi still didn't fully psychologically recover from the day before, but he knew that 100 kills in 50 days were too much to take breaks, so he had to carry on. He already knew who else was next.
FOURTH VICTIM: Joel Stephens, 19 years old, 6'3, robust, long brown hair, green eyes
He kind of chose the victims randomly. Essentially, the first person that caught his attention would have become his victim.
Joel was a charismatic and easy-going guy. He was very popular among girls and he didn't have any troubles making friends. He was good at sport, tall and he had green eyes. His family was composed by his mother, his father and his two brothers of 12 and 15 years of age each.
Remi followed him home and again, looked for a way to sneak in.
There was none.
Luckily for Remi, Joel hung with his friends fairly often. He could wait for him to go out to then follow him and kill him. Remi's plan was a bit different than what he had anticipated, but setbacks do happen.
As foreseen, he went out at exactly 4pm. He had to meet with his friends. This was a golden opportunity for him.
Out of blue, he heard a voice. The devil whispered into Remi's ear.
"Kill them all. Kill them all. Kill them all." incited the devil. "Enter the house and kill them all. You can do it Remi, you can do it! Break the window and kill them all!"
Remi was hesitant at first, but the devil was right. 4 kills instead of one sounded like a better plan. By then, he had realized that he had to put his humanity aside or he would have never completed the challenge. Even though he got it into his head that he wanted to try, he knew it wouldn't be easy.
Joel opened the door and walked away.
Remi took a rock from the floor and threw it into the front window. He quickly entered Joel's home. He was in the living room.
The parents, alarmed, went to check out the window, finding it broken.
Remi hid behind the couch.
"What the fuck happened here?" asked Joel's dad with a really aggressive tone of voice.
"I don't know, maybe some punk threw a rock at the window. What a prick!" replied Joel's mom.
"Maintain your calm Remi.. Not yet.." whispered Remi to himself.
"What happened mom?!" shouted Joel's little brother from upstairs as he ran into the living room. The other brother followed, remaining silent.
"Fuck, his father is too big, I can't take him. I have to wait until he's not around" thought Remi as his hands started to get a little shaky.
The family was talking about what had just happened while Remi stood there, behind the couch, waiting for Joel's dad to leave the room.
Almost as if someone could hear him, Joel's dad got uninterested in the whole thing and walked away, while Joel's mother and brothers decided to stay and clean the mess up.
Remi grinned. He felt like he was going insane.
He took his knife and came out from behind the couch.
The mom noticed him and shouted: "Who are yo--" but she could not finish the sentence. Remi cut her throat right in front of them. As her body fell down the floor and her sons watched the scene in horror, Remi got closer to them.
