Isobel's POV:
1 week later

I look through the peephole before rushing them inside. "Took you long enough," Kia grunts, shutting the door behind her. I check the peephole one last time, ensuring that no one saw them enter.

"Come on Diaz we're good," Shaw assures me, taking a seat on my couch. I walk over and sit beside him. I sigh and take a deep breath.

"Alright so where are we right now?" I ask, turning to my friends for answers. Kia sighs, worry plastered across her face.

"It's not good Isobel," she responds. Her hands droop to her knees. "The information we've been giving them isn't enough. They're gonna pull you out if you don't give them what they need."

I shake my head, racking my brain for another solution. "We're working on tracking down Lukin but we need more time," I explain desperately. "Marcus won't leave until he's dead, and the man is completely off the grid..."

"You need to give real proof," Shaw continues. "Something about drugs or something small. Any proof is better than the tips you've been reporting back." I nod, briefly thinking it over.

"Proof of anything will lead to an arrest," Kia reminds us. I take another deep breath, once again thinking everything over. "Once they have him in their custody, he'll never get out," she continues.

"Their best chance is to run, before.."

"Why can't I just wait for them to pull me out?" I interrupt. "They won't send anyone else in, that's the whole reason why I was chosen in the first place."

I look up at Shaw and Kia's confused stares. Was it really that insane to suggest? "If you come back with nothing, your charges for Link won't be dropped," Shaw speaks up.

I think carefully before responding, "I won't be an FBI agent anymore. I'll go back to Marcus and he'll never know. Neither will the bureau, because I won't work there, they won't be watching me," Kia looks at me uneasily, and soon Shaw does too.

"They'll always be watching Marcus," Kia whispers sadly. "And either way you can't go back with nothing. You've been undercover for months, they'll know something's up."

My head falls to my hands. I'm drowning in my own thoughts.

"Your only two choices," Shaw breathes, placing a comforting arm around my shoulders, "is turn him in, or run."

"You have to choose."

I have to choose.

I scan my hand and watch as the door unlocks. Marcus had my handprint imprinted when he first got home from the hospital. One of his romantic gestures. I walk down the long hallway, stopping at Marcus's door. Before I can knock, a loud voice interrupts my thoughts.

"Isobel!" Dimitri yells from the other end of the hall. He waves his hand, calling me over. I know it's strange, considering he almost killed me a few times, but we've actually been getting along. Ever since Marcus was hospitalized, he's been kind. Who knows maybe we'll become besties just like him and Kol.

I walk over, meeting him in front of the training room door. He stands up straight with confidence, but his face shows exhaustion. "Is everything okay?" I ask him worriedly. He nods slightly, before ushering me inside. He grips tightly onto my arm, practically dragging me across the large room. "Dimitri what's going on?" I ask again, nerves building up inside of me. He doesn't respond, but keeps a firm hold on my arm. We walk past Marcus's office, and past the conference room. Where the h*ll is he taking me?
