Chapter 9

Percy Pov

Percy, after absolutely destroying Annabeth in a debate, (something he will be sure to rub in her face whenever she calls him seaweed brain, which she has claimed as the nickname only she is allowed to call him) was sitting by the beach looking up at the stars thinking about life.

He was wearing his Fury made Leather jacket (does it still count as leather if it wasn't made from cows) over his camp shirt, along with a pair of ripped jeans (a gift from Luke as a moving-out present), and some steel-toed boots (Silena gave them to him as a moving in present, she told him it went with the jacket), and was listening to Guns N Roses Welcome to the Jungle through a Speaker that Lacy had given him (apparently it was a gift from all the Aphrodite Cabin Members).

The strange thing about this sight was that Percy was on the beach, in the sea, and he discovered he could breathe underwater, and keep his clothes dry, and the speaker while hearing the music clearly. Another thing he discovered was that the water actually healed him.

It was one of the things he learned that some children of Poseidon can do through the scrolls he had in his cabin, and after some trial and error, he learned some new skills. 

Water self-healing- This is a hereditary skill that all children of the Sea have, it allows you to heal broken bones, cuts and bruises in seconds. It only works if you want to be healed.

Lv- Max

Sea chatter- Allows you to talk to all sea creatures

Equestrian Etiquette- Allows you to talk to Equestrians such as Pegasi, Zebra and Unicorns. Note that animals such as these will think of you like their Prince as you are a son of their creator.

Water- Allows you to manipulate water

Lv 10- 10 mana per minute

He had some trouble with the Harpies who had an introduction to Riptide, which Chiron had finally allowed him to use in public, but eventually left when Chiron came and gave Percy permission to stay up as late as he wants, mostly because he is his own cabin Councillor. Thinking of that then brought Percy to the thought of his father. On the one hand, it turned out his father was a nearly all-powerful Olympian god who gave him life and he probably shouldn't be disrespecting. On the other hand, he also cheated on his wife with Percy's mother which made him a bastard, and he was a serial killer. It seemed for whatever reason, his mother was attracted to men who had a power complex, although he was sure she wasn't attracted to Gabe of all people, especially if she could attract the attention of a god.

Percy's musing was interrupted when an Iris Message got through

"Percy" in front of Percy was a goat-legged teen with horns

"Grover, what the fuck are you doing here, well in the Iris Message?"

"I don't have much time, I was looking for Pan when I smelt a strong presence, I followed it to a homeless boy around your age maybe a bit younger and well to cut a long story short we are now being followed by the Minotaur and a pack of Hellhounds."

"Where are you now?"

"Well, we are hiding at the top of a tree you know the big one, not Thalia's tree but the other one"

"How did you get up there? You know what never mind, I'll be on my way"

"Hurry up, Gordan is getting restless" and with that Percy swiped through the Iris message.
