The light of the sun shown through the blankets of the fort and into my eyes, waking me up a little. I let out a yawn and tried sitting up, being pulled back down by strong arms around my torso. I looked back and blushed a bit, remembering how we fell asleep with his body flat on mine.
His eyes were still shut and his lips were slightly parted, letting out soft snores here and there. His hair was covering half of his face and his arms were tightly wrapped around me. I carefully unhooked his arms from around me and climbed out of the fort, heading to the bathroom and looking at myself in the mirror. My makeup smudged just a little and my hair was curly in the pony tail I left it in. I pulled the hairband out and messed with the loose curls I had, fluffing it up a little so it looked somewhat descent. I cleaned up the smudges under my eyes and brushed my teeth while I was in there.
I went back out to the kitchen and pulled out cat food for Sprout, pouring it into his food bowl and getting him fresh water. I saw him trot out of the fort and I poured myself a glass of milk, looking up places for breakfast nearby and sitting on the counter top.
I heard a groan come from the fort before a sleepy Kevin crawled out. "Morning sunshine." I smiled. "What time is it?" He groaned, standing up and coming over to me to lean his arms on the counter next to me. "Almost 9. I'm looking for a place to get breakfast." He yawned and groaned more, stretching and sitting next to me. "Can we go for pizza?"
"Pizza?" I gave him that 'really' type look. "Pizza?" I asked again and he nodded with a smile. "I think you have an obsession."
"Whaaaaat? Pshh no." He said sarcastically, hoping off and looking around the kitchen for food, finding a box of cereal. "You wanna go out for food when you have food here?"
"I think there's only enough for one and its the last one I have. You can have it if you want."
"What will you have?"
"Nothing till later. I'm not always hungry."
"Alright then. You sure?"
"Positive." I said as I hopped off, putting my glass in the sink and going to my room to change, shutting the door and picking out clothes. I slipped my pants off and threw on an oversized button up shirt, rolling the sleeves up to my elbows. It was black and grey and had a plaid pattern on it. I bent down to my dresser and pulled out a pair of normal bell-bottom jeans.
"What you wanna do today?" Kevin asked as he walked in, looking at me and eating his cereal, not to mention catching me by surprise. "Dude!" I squealed, covering my lower half with my jeans. "What?" He muffled, stuffing a spoonful of cereal into his mouth.
"I'm changing here."
"Okay. You can change." He said as he sat down on my bed, aiming all his attention on his phone. I stepped to the side and slid my jeans on. "What would you do if I didn't have a shirt on?" I asked and he shrugged. "Walk in and let you change. You should know I don't care about that kind of stuff."
"I knew that when we were kids. We're adults now, so its a lot more awkward and weird than it used to be."
"Doesn't seem to be bothering you much. You stayed in the same spot when I had you last night."
"That makes it sound so much more dirty then it should."
"That was kind of the point." He joked, looking back up at me and eating another spoonful. I rolled my eyes and slipped my bracelets on and applying my red lipstick to my pale pink lips. "You never answered my question."
"What was your question?"
"What do you wanna do today?"
"I don't know. How long do you wanna stick around?"
"Eh. Doesn't bother me."
"Of course it doesn't." I laughed. I put my lipstick back on my dresser and squealed a bit, feeling soft fur around my ankles. I bent down and picked up little Sprout. "Hi there." I said in a high pitched voice and he meowed. "He slept on my side all night." Kevin said as he stood up, petting is head before going back out and putting his bowl in the sink. "Did he? I thought I heard some purring but that could have been your snoring." I joked as I followed him, letting Sprout run off and cleaning up the mess we made in front the fort. "I don't snore!"
"Yes you do." I laughed and threw all the trash away, putting the popcorn bowl in the sink and felt a pillow hit my butt. "Hey!" I screamed, turning around to Kevin laughing and crawling back into the fort. I rolled my eyes and picked the pillow up, climbing in as well and whacking him with it, sitting next to him. "You're an ass sometimes." I laughed, pulling my phone out. "At least I have one." He remarked, climbing out. I kicked his butt and he screamed, hurrying out and looking at me. "Really?"
"Yep." I answered, tossing the pillows and blankets out the fort and climbing back out to fix the room. Kevin went off to the bathroom to change I'm guessing so I took this time to put the chairs back, folw up the blankets, and push the couch back to normal.
"What now?" He asked as he came back out. "I don't know." I answered, sitting on the couch. "Wanna meet the guys?"
"Hell yeah."
"Alright. Let's go."
"Now?"
"Yeah. Come on." He took my hand and pulled me up. I giggled a bit and hopped off to my room to get my shoes on. I put my phone and wallet in my pockets and linked my keys on my belt loop like always, saying bye to Sprout and heading downstairs with Kevin.
We made it outside and waited for an opening for us to cross the street and get in his car. It was surprisingly clean, normally he kept things a mess.
We played and sang along to music on the way down, pulling into the driveway of a big house to fit everyone in. It was really nice, too.
