It was still day and Alexander, together with Karl, had long left Moreau's reservoir.

Karl had his arm wrapped around Alexanders waist and glared at any person that stared a little too long.

"How about the two of us, go to the factory and spend a nice evening together?" Karl suggested, his fingers crossed.

"I'd like that, but first I'm going to the Duke, he's got new stock and I have to see it" Karl hummed a little and nodded.

"Then I shall meet you back at the factory" Pressing a kiss against Alexanders lips, the two then split up, going a seperate direction.

Karl hurrying to the factory, wanting it to look as clean and as nice as possible for when Alexander gets to him.

Alexander on the other hand was casually walking to where he last saw the Duke, once again smiling and waving awkwardly at the people, who were still bustling around the market.

The moment Alexander arrived at the Dukes wagon, there were a few people in line. Most probably to buy or sell things, Duke was, of course, one of the only people that willingly sold medicine for the sick and amunition for the local hunters.

The line to a step forward when a familiar person paid the Duke and recieved amunition.

"Hello Alexander, it's great seeing you!" The male that had asked Alexander to go for drinks weeks ago seemed beyond happy to see the vamperic male.

"Hello again, I never quite got your name" Alexander said, the male chuckled at how awkward Alexander was.

"It's Marcel, my name is Marcel" Alexander smiled and held out his hand, expecting Marcel to shake it. Instead Marcel took Alexanders hand in his own and placed a kiss against his knuckles.

Marcel never noticed how much Alexander cringed at the flirtatious motion and quickly pulled his hand away after Marcel lifted himself.

"It was lovely to see you again, but I'm on the clock and I truly have to hurry" Alexander said as he stepped towards the Duke, who had his eyes trained on Marcel. Marcel had sprung forward and grasped Alexanders wrist.

"I would love to talk to you more sometime, please consider visiting me! I live in the house with the dark brown mare!" With that Marcel released Alexander and quickly walked off.

"It seems the young man has taken quite the interest in you" The Duke pointed out the obvious, it was tiny situations like this that frustrated Alexander.

These situations were somewhat frequent, he's seen generations being born in this village and has been getting offers of marriage since he was less than 18.

People took an interest in him and he couldn't return that. There was once a family that kept offering their daughters hand in marriage and then later their daughter asked him to marry her own child. It wasn't until that that child grew up and decided to work as a maid in the castle that the offers ended.

"Well I'd rather take my mind off of it" The Duke let out a hearty laugh at that and grabbed what he had brought for Alexander.

Photographs and old postcards from the outside world, the images showed places from white beaches to the lights of Paris.

Reaching out, Alexander gently took the photograps into his hands. Duke rarely had anything from the outside world, it was usually newspapers, but pictures was a one in a million chance.

"For how much?!" Alexander couldn't tear his eyes away from the different types of pictures, it got a chuckle from the Duke.

"Why they are on the house! See it as an early gift for the baby shower!" Alexander didn't question how Duke knew about the pregnancy, the man seemed to know everything that was going on in the village.

"Truly?!"

"Yes! Now I am quite certain that Lord Heisenberg would appreciate the gift, do show them to him!"

Alexander hastely nodded, thanking the Duke with extreme gratitude and made his way to the factory.

Taking the road that avoided most people, he instead ran into Lycans. However even Lycans know when they shouldn't try to mess with somebody.

The Lycans respectfully kept their distance from Alexander, a few came up to him with gifts, such as scraps of metal or tiny crystals, even a few dead animals.

Alexander smiled at them, they were only capable of showing so much of their former human self, so he appreciated when it happened around him.

He instructed them to share the animals with their fellow Lycans in their pack and pocketed the bits of scraps and crystals, perhaps Karl found use of the stuff.

It took longer to get to the factory due to Alexander taking the scenic road there. Despite the scenery with castle Dimitrescu, the ceremony sight and the other amazing views, it didn't quite compare to the sights on the postcards and pictures.

Meanwhile in an ordinary house somewhere in Europe-

"Did you feel that!" The lady, Mia gushed excitedly as Ethan, her husband placed his hands on her large tummy.

Feeling a kick against his palm, Ethan let out a gasp and a large grin appeared on his face. His baby was so energetic.

"Soon our little Rose will be born and we'll just have our little family" Mia's smile dropped a little.

For a few months Ethan had kept mentioning the events of Louisiana, saying that he wants to be able to discuss the event more clearly.

She couldn't tell him what she knew. He was too special and to let it ruin them wasn't worth it, besides it wasn't the first time she withheld something from him.

"Look Mia, I want Rose to grow up in a normal way. We need to talk about what happened, so we can put it behind us" Ethan said softly noticing the look on Mia's face.

He was expecting her to burst out at him, he was used to it by now, but he'd rather avoid it.

"Rose is going to grow up in a normal way and I don't want to talk about what happened" She hissed out. Ethan flinched back a little, removing his hand from her stomach.

"B-but-"

"But nothing, I don't want to talk about it, you need to put it behind you. It happened and we can't change that"

Ethan bit back his tongue, he desperately wanted to say something, but it would result in another fight.

"Now, I am going to order food, come to me when you cleared your head or I'll order for myself" With that Mia stood up and left, her smile coming back when she left the room.

Her husband remained seated, he knew that Louisiana had taken a toll on her, but it also did on him. If they could talk, maybe the tension would be less tense.

"I'll try"
