"Karl! Karl!" Alexander excitedly walked into the factory, going through the familiar hallways, calling for Karl.
Instead of getting a human reply, he recieved the noise of a aircraft engine. Alexander got quiet trying to listen for more noises, before calling out to Karl again.
"Karl?"
"Alex! My buttercup!" Jumping a little of freight, Alexander turned around to find Karl standing behind him, with a grin on his face.
"My goodness, you scared me Karl!" Alexander said, walking forward and wrapping Karl in a hug. Karl happily returned it, squeezing the pregnant male in his hug.
"I'm sorry, dear. Now! What was the excitement about? Are you this excited to see me?"
"I suppose I could also be excited about seeing you" Alexander said teasingly. Karl feigned pain at his words, laying his palm on the location of his heart.
"You wound me, oh great Alexander!"
"Well, I should heal you then" A smug smirk then appeared on Karls face, who placed both his hands on Alexanders waist.
"Yes, you should" Alexanders smile held the same amount of smugness, knowing exactly what Karl wanted and also knowing he wouldn't get it.
Karl blinked owlishly at the sudden paper getting pushed against his face.
"Would a look at these photographs suffice?" Alexander asked, a teasing smile on his face.
"Photographs?" Alexander pulled the paper away from Karls face and nodded excitedly. Pulling away from Karl, Alexander walked away going to their shared room, Karl hot on his heals.
"Where did you get them?" Karl asked curiously as he sat down on the bed next to Alexander. Alexander grinned and simply replied with 'Duke'.
"These are amazing" Karl said, placing a gently kiss against Alexanders temple.
"Have you ever seen anything like this?" Alexander asked Karl as he pointed to various things in the photographs and postcards.
"I might've, I can't remember much from anything before Miranda" That dimmed Alexanders mood by a lot, a small frown now in place where his smile was.
"Sorry"
"It's fine, Alex, besides when we're free we can make new ones"
Karl gently rubbed Alexanders cheek with his thumb as Alexander apologetically looked down at the photos in his lap.
"Alex, I can hardly remember anything from when I was little. Sometimes I can see small snipets of memories"
"Really? What do you see in your memories?" Karl could hear the hesitance in Alexanders voice as he asked the question.
"It's usually a lady, she's reading a book and smiling" Alexander smiled a little, the lady was probably Karl's mother or sister.
"I wish I could see more" Karl mumbled softly as he pressed a kiss against Alexanders hair, Alexander could only hum mornfully.
Karl would've lived such a different life if it wasn't for Miranda, but then again Alexander is gratefull for it.
Despite Miranda practically abusing them and manipulating the entire village, without her Alexander would've never met Karl.
"We should take Sommer to these places" Alexander said softly, Karl nodded entusiastically in agreement.
Their little Sommer would see the world and all the beauty they could find.
