Chapter 3

"Ito-chan~~" He said waving at me for attention. "Tch." "Why hello there Ito-chan~ I wasn't expecting to meet you so soon!" He said finally appearing before me. "Ikebukoro isn't that big now is it Orihara-san? I see that you indeed learned my name." I said quite uninterested.

"Of course I did. Like I said, I want to know everything about my fellow little humans." "Well good for you. If you excuse me now, I need to get going." I walked towards Aoi's house but seeing Izaya following me I decided to go somewhere else. I wouldn't want him to know where I live and cause trouble for my friend. So instead of going to the house, I walked towards the park.

I glanced behind me and Izaya was still hot on my tracks as I was feeling his intense gaze towards me. Seriously now, that guy made me to feel like punching him!

I turned around and faced him unable to keep my patience any longer. My face serious and out of any emotion besides my hard glare. Some people say that the eyes are the soul's mirror. If you looked closer to mine, you would see the cold ice of death.

Izaya's pov.

She finally turned to face me after a long time ignoring me. Her face was expressionless but her eyes... Her eyes were cold, like a mirror made by thick ice. Something was missing from them. And that was light. It was as she saw stuff much worse than a simple and normal human would ever see. Beside the coldness in her eyes, there's something more than that to describe them. And that was emptiness.

Ito's pov.

"Why are you following me Orihara-san? Are you perhaps stalking me?" I asked the man before me as I saw him putting one of his famous smirks. "It's not stalking, it's called taking an interest~~" He answered shrugging. I on the other hand raised an eyebrow. "And why would you take an interest in me?" "Because you are interesting. Have you seen your face? It's so emotionless that I could die...!" What's wrong with my face! I do have emotions you know! "I simply want to know more about you. Don't think you are special, you are not. That I love humans doesn't mean I love YOU specifically. I love all humans equally and I want to know everything about them!"

At that point I was more than irritated. I was angry... I took a deep breath to calm down and tried to talk as normal as I could. I knew he was doing this to see when my anger will break. He wants to see me angry. That won't happen. "Orihara-san, I never thought of my self so highly as to think that I am special. I tend to believe that every person is unique in their own way. If you really intend to follow me around at least stop walking from behind like a stalker." I said rather coldly as I exhaled a deep sigh out from irritation, looking at the ground.

I looked back at Izaya to see his eyes sightly widened. His crimson irises were filled with excitement and curiosity. Then out of nowhere he started laughing.

"HAHAHAHahahaha.... You are even more interesting than I originally thought!!!" I titled my head to the side at his childish behaviour and tried to joke around. "I'll take that as a compliment. I am going to the park. You coming or what?" He gave an eye-closed smile and started to walk beside me. "Of course Ito-chan!~"

"I have to warn you first tho." I said looking at him dead in the eyes. "It will be not my fault if you get bored." He smirked in return and answered. "That's a deal."

I sat at one of the benches in the park and Izaya followed right after me. I looked at the sky as it had become a yellow and light pink color. We sat there in silence for some good minutes but for some reason it wasn't uncomfortable. I looked at my right and saw an ice cream salesman and oh how badly I wanted one... You see I have a really sweet tooth so an ice cream, was heaven.

Suddenly I felt my left hand being pulled as I looked up to see Izaya dragging me towards the ice cream salesman. I eyed him curiously and I could say very surprised. I was never expecting such a gesture from him.
