It was Friday today, and Harry was beyond ecstatic when he learned that he would be released permanently from the hospital wing, it was not like he hated it but as the days grew his patience thinned, and the only bearable and positive thing about being in the hospital wing was the occasional visits from his parents and his friends except for a certain Pettigrew who was out in about somewhere.
As the nurses began the final preparations for Harry's release, the door opened to see James and Lily entering the wing as he walked towards him with a huge smile plastered in their beautiful faces; and after a few more tests the nurses removed the needle from his arm and puts on some cotton drenched in alcohol and tape on his arm so that it wouldn't bleed, he ran towards them and enveloped him with a big hug before gathering his things before heading towards the heads common room.
While Harry was packing his things Remus, Sirius, Alice, and Marleen get started on decorating the Heads common room for Harry's welcome back/ Birthday party, as the last of the decorations, was strung, but something quickly caught Sirius's eyes, it looked like a small black dog made of some hollow material "Hey moony what's this?" Sirius asked as he held up the dog-thing "Maybe it's Progs present to him please don't touch it ok" Remus told him; Sirius was skeptical about this thing but shrugged as he gently puts it back to where he found it and continued while Marleen and Alice got the food James ordered from the kitchens.
After Harry packed his things with some help from his father, he was all set to leave, as they wandered the halls James volunteered to take his things up on the head's common room while Harry and Lily wait for him on the black lake, but in reality, he had to check on their friends for the party later, they both nodded in agreement and went their separate ways.
When James opened the common room door, he was amazed at what his friends did to the place.
Remus, Marleen, Sirius, and Alice turned when they heard the door open, to see a smiling Progs with Harry's bag in hand, James rushed to them and gave them the biggest hug that he could give, James thanked them repeatedly, but Remus stopped him and reminded him about Lily and Harry, which he remembered and told them "I owe you one" before rushing to the door, while everybody simply smiled and gone back to what they were doing which was reading and doing their homework before the party.
As James approached the black lake, he could hear a faint sound of singing from where he was standing, he quietly walked in the direction of the singing voice to reveal Lily singing a muggle song called Baby Mine to their darling boy as he fell asleep on her lap, James can simply watch as he quietly sat at the picnic blanket Lily brought from the kitchen with a picnic basket full of snacks for the three of them.
As the song ended Lily turned to see James who was happily staring at her as she sang her song, James cannot put into words how Lily couldn't even more perfect as he cupped his hands on her face and gave her a small kiss before leaning on her shoulder, Lily was surprised about their kiss but shrugged it off as she was too focused at the moment, and as they stared at the perfectly beautiful lake they simply enjoyed each other's company.
