Morning came into the highlands with the soft winter chill. As snowflakes gracefully fall into the snow-covered ground, pine and spruce trees were covered layers of powdery snow. Upon the snowy skies, a Barn owl carried a piece of newspaper and letters on its beak to the majestic manor, home of the wonderful, renowned, and the right and honorable Potters.

It was exactly 9 o'clock in the morning when everybody slowly arrived at the dining hall, Euphemia and Elizabeth were the first ones to wake up seeing it was a habit of them to wake up bright and early to help or even cook for the family. The next one was Lily and Harry since they were early birds, then Fleamont and John minutes later accompanied by Remus, and the last to wake up was Sirius and James who were heavy sleepers. As they entered the dining hall, they greeted each other good morning and some with kisses and took their seats at their places.

Breakfast was simply looked delicious as a big tray of bacon, eggs, roasted vegetables, and toast was presented in the middle of the dining table. They were about to dig in when a hoot of an owl came signaling that mail was here, Euphemia approached the barn owl and fed him some rats as payment.

The owl gave the letters and today's daily prophet to Euphemia and flew off to the ministry carrying a few knuts to give the newspaper office and flew where it belongs. Euphemia gave her husband the daily prophet while she examined the mail. Fleamont simply chuckled at the front page which intrigued the whole table so Euphemia asked what was the paper all about, which Fleamont simply smiled and handed the daily prophet to her so that she could read it out loud. Euphemia lifted a brow and coughed before reading today's front page tiled the mysterious red-headed diamond of Potter Manor, it said the following:

Dearest reader,

There will forever be just two words that come to this author's mind after the morning of any good party "Shock" and "Delight."

For the red-haired beauty, the diamond of tonight's soiree in Potter Manor was rarer than any jewel than I previously thought?

For this rare treasure appears to set to join the likes of a king and queens ever so precious crowned jewels themselves for as radiant, as she was dancing with not just some mere minor wizard but the heir to the most royal and oldest of all families of the wizarding world and shared not one but three dances on last night's grand soiree.

This author has reason to believe that this rare diamond is more than meets the eye for how did this strange diamond out of nowhere entranced the young heir is yet to be determined for this is a true mystery indeed.

Surprising? quite, unreasonable of course not! After all the identity of this red-haired beauty is still a mystery to all wizards and witches alike, and like any rare jewel, she was a rare find indeed, for why settle for a mere witch if the young heir can have a goddess as his bride to be.

Lily was now the talk of the whole wizard community as the front page featured her dancing with James from last night's Soiree, she was simply red from the complements of the daily prophet as it described last night's event. As Euphemia ended, she simply smiled in delight along with Lily's mother as they were proud of their work, while Sirius and Remus smugly looked at James who was wide-eyed at the daily prophet, and asked his mother if he could see it for himself. Fleamont and John had a hearty laugh at this and started to eat their breakfast, and Harry was confused at their reactions but simply ignored it and ate his breakfast with his grandparents while his parents and godfathers look at the newspaper.

After breakfast, Lily was still stunned about the article that she has not touched her plate until her mother called her name for her to snap back to reality before eating a bit of breakfast, then rushed to the bedroom for her to get her thoughts in check.

The morning followed through as smoothly as it can be. As James was teaching Harry how to ride a broom which he was a natural at, Sirius and Remus were engaged in a competitive match on wizard's chess, and Lily was focused on a book, sometimes taking a break to scold James when his lessons with harry were taking a bit too far. Meanwhile, the adults were having a spot of tea.

As the morning progressed a pair of hooting owls were heard coming to the window, Lily took notice of this and opened the windows for the owls to land. She handed them some mice as payment and received some letters from her best friends Alice and Marleen. She was curious about why they would write to her but shrugged it off and saw the owls fly away through the winter skies.

Lily slumped at her chair where her book was and opened the letters. James, Sirius, Remus, and Harry were intrigued at Lily's mysterious letters so they stopped what their doing and asked her about it, which she replied with "well it said on both letters about how beautiful I was last night and how I was now the talk of the whole wizarding world which I already know from this morning's paper, and how every boy on either Diagon Alley, and where they live was asking or gossiping about me and if I would ever like to date them, but overall it was good and Frank spent Christmas with her family and his parents are with her and Neville said hi" Sirius and Remus laughed like a mad man as James was now fuming in anger at the boys who want to date his Lily flower, while Harry was oblivious to this and told his mom that if she would write to aunt Alice tell her that he said hi as well to Neville.

Lily simply flattered at James's little display of jealousy, so much so that she simply giggled at this. She headed to hers, James, and Harry's bedroom to write her letters to her friends for a minute before joining them again after they have been sent. When she started writing she told them in the letter about how she knows about what the prophet said about her, the events that happened when James heard that every boy in the wizarding world wanted her to go out with her and told them that Harry said hi and he wants you all here in Christmas day. After writing the letter she placed it on an envelope and sealed it with wax and stamped it with James's stamp seals and asked Mr. Potter if she could borrow 2 owls so that she could send some letters to her friends, to which he agreed. As she reached the owlery she fed them some mice before telling them to bring the letters to her friend's house, and after telling them the address the owls flew into the cold December skies.

Lily sighed a quick breath of relief to shake her nerves off before going back into the manor to spend some time with her future son. Seeing that he has a month left before he was sent back to his time with her abusive future version of her sister and her terrible family, just a mere thought of it made her shiver to the bone.
