I woke up in my own bed. I had different clothes on. I looked around the room to see gifts and flowers and letters everywhere.
"It's only been two days." My mom walks into my room with another bouquet of flowers. "How do people already know?"
"Word travels fast mom." I croak out.
She turns to me. "Oh, my baby." She wraps her arms around me. Tears fall out of her eyes onto my back. "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that we got so angry. You had good intentions keeping that from us. And I'm sorry about Tera." I winced at her name.
"It's okay mom. I'm sorry for running off." I remembered how I ran off. Then I remembered what happened at Gran-Gran's. "Is Gran-Gran okay?" I start to breathe heavily.
"She's okay."
A knock was heard at the door. "Pema, how is she-" Korra stopped mid sentence when she saw me awake. "Uh, Pema-"
"I'll give you two a moment. Are you hungry, love?"
"Starving." I smile. My mom smiles at me.
"I'll cook for you. It hasn't been long, but we were all scared you wouldn't wake up."
"I'm sorry for worrying you."
"Don't apologize. And Korra?"
"Yes." Korra says.
"Be gentle." My mom winks at me and I let out a little giggle. She leaves the room closing the door behind her. Korra stays in one spot.
"I'm not made of glass, ya know?" Korra immediately hugged me as tight as she could.
"I am so sorry, Jinpa. I never meant to hurt you."
"You didn't. I kind of did it to myself. Korra lets me go.
"I should've stopped you from leaving. What would've happened if I stopped you from leaving??"
"I don't know, but I don't want to think about what if's. I need to ask you something."
"Anything." Korra grabs my hands.
"I said I was in love with you. How did that make you feel? Truthfully."
"Jay, Tera just-"
"Don't. I know. I watched. Just tell me so I know whether or not I wasted my whole life on someone who doesn't love me back."
"I was flustered, but confused. I didn't know what I was feeling."
"Good to know." I sigh.
"No, crap. I don't mean it like I don't feel something for you."
"But you don't. You love Mako."
"No, not anymore Jay. I like-"
"You don't like me. That's okay Korra."
"Shut up and let me finish." I blush a little then shut up. "I like you in a way I don't completely understand yet."
"Then how do you know you like me?"
"Because I felt this way towards Mako, but now it's stronger. It feels right with you. All the time."
"Korra-" Korra gives me a small kiss on the forehead.
"You need something to eat. Do you need help to the dining room?"
"I got it."
"So, I'm helping, got it."
Korra lifts me up and carries me out of my room. "Korra!" I giggle.
"I've missed your laugh."
"You know that if you really like me we have to take this insanely slow."
