*Shin Young's POV*

'*Sigh.. Jo Eun-ah, what have they done to you?', I sighed under my breath. Remembering those things, I can't imagine how much she changed after living with her stepmom for 2 years or three.

Back then, Jo Eun was so friendly and more cheerful than she is right now. Since that day she left that woman's house and started living with us, she became quite distant from me. At first, I tried not to take it personally since she might've been in the adjustment period. But then, there was this time when I saw her crying alone by herself in the balcony late at night.

To be honest, I was hurt at the moment. I was, because she never cried herself alone before. Every time she does, she does it with me around. I was like her older brother and she's my younger sister. That's when I thought, 'maybe she doesn't need me anymore'. Yet, she stopped me from leaving the mansion two weeks before her birthday.

I actually almost want to give up on her at that time since I already felt like a stranger to her and not a friend anymore. Then it all turned out that she's just afraid I might reject her because of what happened to her.

"Tsk, if only I came more earlier in your life, if only we didn't have to be separated from each other that time, these things won't be happeni--",

*knock, knock, knock!

"Ye~", I lazily called out, getting up from my bed as I walked towards my throbbing door. Who's this now?

"Ya, is Dumpling there?", as I opened the door, the annoying kid asked me wearing his serious face. Kang Dae, tss.. What a timing! I'm still having my moment and then this-- Ahhh~ >0

"왜?(why)"

"Jo Eun-ah~ Jo Eun-ah dumpling!", he shouted, trying to take a peek inside my room. 'Aiyoo, what's it he wants with her again?', I thought, almost ready to close my door when he suddenly stopped it using his hands, pushing it open quite harsh.

"Aish, 그만해(stop)~ she's not here. She's bathing, okay?", I irritatingly replied. Really! What's gotten into this guy all of a sudden?! Tschh.

"Tsk, you should have told me that earlier.", with that said, he hurriedly turned his back on me and rushed towards her room. I just eyed him while he was knocking continuously on her door. Upon doing so, it began to swung open and revealed our 동생 (younger sibling) who's wearing only her bathrobe, annoyance was plastered on her face.

"What do you want?!", she squeaked. Ha ha, what a girl. Pft~ ^^

When suddenly...

"Ya, ya, YA~! You don't push my Jo Eun like that!", Rushing towards them, I stood protectively over Jo Eun, not wanting him to come near her in any way. Because basically, he just started pushing her shoulders forcefully so to enter her room with HIM. And just take note of it, she's still wearing a BATHROBE! She haven't even changed her clothes, then THIS guy?! Aish, darn him! What was he even thinking?!

"Your w-what? Ha ha! ya~ as if I'm going to do something with our Dumpling, tss. Shin, get away, 빨리~ I still need to tell her something.", he tried pushing me to the side but I didn't budge a little. Now, Dumpling's giggling softly from behind me already.
