An ear-piecing scream replaced the silence in the the house, it's echoes following behind. Kai paced around the room they were assigned, wondering if they should help the the victim of the murderer. They made up their mind, and came to a conclusion that they should certainly help. As they walked towards the door, stumbling in the dark, an amber light flared in the darkness from their wooden desk. Quickly abandoning their thoughts, they cautiously sauntered over to the gleaming light. Upon further investigation, they noticed that the light was coming from a crystal glass ball. A strange text was plastered on it.

'Who would you like to read tonight? Please write down their name and slot it in the box in the corner of your room.'

Sceptical, Kai tore a piece of paper from their journal and scribbled a name on it with their scrawly handwriting. Kai then slotted the paper into the box in the corner of the room, almost tripping over on the way there. They then silently walked back to their bed and settled down on it. The scream that they once heard was now gone and the only thing in its place was silence. After a while of dwelling in their thoughts, they began to start doodling art and scribbling words in their journal until they noticed that the glass ball had a new text plastered on it.

'Trey is Innocent.' It read.

Kai decided to note this down by flipping to a clean page and scrawling the short sentence down in their untidy handwriting. After that, they continued doodling in their journal with aid from the dim light that was coming from the crystal ball, until the lights went back on.

As rays of light began to illuminate from the ceiling, Elizabeth was woken up from her slumber. She began to groggily get out the bed, scanning her surroundings. Of course, it wasn't a dream and she was still trapped on the house where there was a murderer on the loose. She grabbed her journal and started writing a quick entry before going to the main area to meet the other players.

Two slow minutes went by and Elizabeth started making her way out of the room. She observed the hallway as she walked. The doors were painted an ivory white and there were traces of brown peaking from underneath the layer of white. On the beige walls, vivid pieces of abstract were displayed. She carried on walking until she reached the door at the end of the hallway and carefully opened it.

The sound of chatter was amid the people. Elizabeth noticed that the atmosphere was more gloomier than usual. Something was wrong. But before she could ask someone, the familiar voice spoke.

"Good morning dear players," the voice beamed, "As some of you may noticed, your dear player Omar has perished. He was stabbed multiple times and... it seems like the murderer has hidden his corpse, quite a clever tactic if you ask me," the voice announced, "Oh and one more thing, the investigator believes that Charlie is the murderer. You may use that information among yourself. The voting starts in 30 minutes, meaning you have only 30 minutes to discuss. Good luck!"

There was a loud screeching voice from the microphone and then the room went silent. Mila was the one to break the silence.

"Hmm I don't know what makes the investigator to think that Charlie is evil but I personally do not think Charlie is evil, unless someone has any evidence that proves me wrong?"

Everyone was now directing their eyes towards Mila but no one uttered a word.

Mila continued her one-sided conversation, "Then from what I comprehend, Charlie is innocent,"

Charlie smiled at Mila, "Thanks Mila,"

Mila only smiled back.

"From what I can tell, Mila AND Charlie are both very suspicious," a voice huffed from behind Elizabeth. She turned around to see a girl with cherry red hair which was held up by a green headband. Annie.

"I don't think that's how it works Anni-" Kai started before they got cut off.

"What? I'm just saying they're suspicious, that's all."

"Uh, alright. I guess we should discuss, does anyone have any evidence or alibis?" Asked Kai, their eyes still fixed on Annie.

"Uhm I don't know if this counts but I was in my room the whole time, but a few minutes after the lights went out I swear I heard someone's door creaking open. However, it could've been anyone so I'm not sure if that's helpful," proclaimed Amani.

"Anything is helpful at this stage," muttered Kai.

The rest of the players were silent, watching the drama unfold in front of them.

The voice came back, "Tut-tut, looks like you didn't get much discussion between you all. Oh well, it's time for The Votings. Flip to the last page of your journals. It should be titled "The Votings". Write down the name of the person you find most suspicious, and you all have two minutes, starting... now."

The two minutes consisted of silence and the scratching of a pencil on the journals.

"Time's up! Let's see here... the person with the most votes is... Charlie."
