Loki Avengers (AU)

Prologue

~6 Months After Iron Man~

"And so now you must be banished to Midgard!" Odin shouted, as he stripped Loki's powers away. He then sent Loki to Earth with no hope for returning to Asgard. Loki landed in someone's front lawn. He groaned in pain as he picked himself up. It was not his day today. A man that lived in a billionaire mansion came out to see what the sound was about. Loki looked at him and freaked out, even tried to run away.

"Woah, woah, woah! It's okay! I won't hurt you! I just wanna help!" The man explained. "Who are you?" Loki asked him. "I'm Tony Stark, Iron Man. And who are you?" "I am Loki, God of Mischief. And Allfather has banished me from Asgard, left me here with very little bit of powers," Loki explained to him. "I'm sorry that happened to you. Look, I know we just met, but would you like to stay with me?" Tony offered. Loki took a moment to think about it and nodded. "Yes. Thank you, Stark." "You're welcome, Loki."

Tony gave Loki a house tour, even showed him his room. He also explained about his personal AI, Jarvis, and how he helps around. "Oh and this is Ms. Pepper Potts, my personal assistance." Pepper let out her hand to shake Loki's hand. Loki took it and shook her hand gently. "Nice to meet you, Lady Potts. I'm Loki Odinson, Prince of Asgard," he greeted himself. "Nice to meet you too, Mr. Odinson. And just either Potts or Pepper is fine," she informed him simply. "I'll keep that noted. And Loki is fine as well."

"Oh, Tony. Reminder that you have serving subpoenas before the Senate Armed Services Committee at 9am," Potts informed Tony. "Yikes. That's tomorrow morning, isn't it?" She nodded and said, "Yes, it is. I already helped you packed your luggages with everything you'll be needing. Tonight, you have an event going on for Stark Epo in Flushing, New York. You're is all ready for you." Tony clapped his hands together. "Perfect. I'll take care of our guest then." Potts nodded and left them.

"Quite a busy man, aren't you Stark?" Loki asked him. "Yup. But as soon as all of this is over, I'll see what we can do to get you a home here." Loki shook his head. "I much rather not have you to worry so much about me, Stark." "Well, if you feel more comfortable staying here, then that won't be a problem for me," Tony suggested. Loki nodded. "That I can accept. Thank you." "No problem, Lokes. Come on, I have some spare clothes that you can have."

~The next day, at Washington, DC~

Stern banged the gavel to get Tony's attention. "Mr. Stark, could we pick up now where we left off?" Tony was facing behind himself, whispering to Loki and Potts. Potts was pointing at Stern, telling him to turn around. "Mr. Stark. Please," Stern banged the gavel again. "Yes, dear?" Tony asked as he turned around. The crowd laughed a bit, including Loki. "Can I have your attention, please?" "Absolutely." "Do you or do you not possess a specialized weapon?"

"I do not," Tony confirmed. "You do not?" Stern asked. "I do not. Well, depends on how you define the word "weapon"." "The Iron Man weapon," Stern said specifically. "My devices does not fit that description." "Well... How would you describe it?" "I would describe it by defining it what it is, Senator." "As?"  "It's a high-tech prosthesis." Everyone laughed after Tony said that. "That is... That is...  That's actually the most apt description I can make of it." "It's a weapon. It's a weapon, Mr. Stark. "Please, if your priority was actually the well-being of the American citizen-" Tony was cut off.

"My priority is to get the Iron Man weapon turned over to the people of the United States of America," Stern stated. "Well, you can forget it. I am Iron Man. The suit and I are one. To turn over the Iron Man suit would be to turn over myself, which is tantamount to indentured servitude or prostitution, depending on what state you're in." The crowd laughed at Tony's little joke. "You can't have it," Tony told him. "Look, I'm no expert..." "In prostitution? Of course not. You're a senator. Come on!" Tony slammed his hand on the table and waved to the crowd. The crowd was laughing a bit, even Loki. Potts, not so much at all.
