tonight was the annual start of summer beach bonfire where a few hours after schools out, ever student gets together at the beach sipping punch, roasting marshmallows and socializing.
i pulled up into the parking lot. many people we already there and dancing to the music. a light smile graced my face as i got out the car. wondering through the crowds greeting people along the way eventually making it to Jordan.
"whats up vin" he said passing me a clear cup of blue punch.
"hey" I poured the content of the cup refilling it with the punch from the bowl.
"I'm trying to get a girl tonight"
"I'm only here to get a few shots of the party. Jace and I have a film project we're doing"
"Talking of JC, I haven't seen him" Jordan told me.
I groaned turning on the cam corder.
"Dude you could get a few shots of my sexy dancing" Jordan said humping the air
"Yeah...no" I laughed walking into the crowd holding up the cameras recording.
The girls shyed away covering their faces and sticking out their tongues and shit.
Though this one girl. She stood out from the crowd.
Dancing with her hands flowing with her body. Her eyes were closed as she imbraced the music. Formula by labrinth but the DJ did justice slowing down the song so it was easier to lose you self in the euphoric melody.
I couldn't help but film the scene. The other girls stared in envy as the camera was in her attention.
Her lips synced to the words as if they were made for her mouth.
The glitter that graced the side of her face shun through the len of the camera.
The mix's of people dancing around her was nothing compared to the spot light she held
Her hair was in a wet finger wave. The white of her attire contrasted with the deep colour of her skin.
She finally opened her eyes looking straight at me with a smile as she realised she was being recorded.
"Y/n I got you your drink" a girl said.
"Thank youuuu" she said looking at me, then winking. Before becoming lost in the crowd.
Who is this girl?
