We headed down to the skate park as usual. The evening was approaching and the boys and I had decided on a late night skate.
We started skating but it fazed me how I didn't even realise that music was playing the whole time.
A girl sat a picnic blanket with a computer playing tunes, playing with the tempo and drifting the beats into different songs. Her head swayed as a smiled stayed on her lips.
"She's pretty good" Jake said walking over to her.
"Mph! What are you doing" I hissed at him following him.
"Don't ask stupid questions Vincent" he straight faced me.
"Bro."
"Just come my guy" he rolled his eyes as we continued. "Sick beats"
The girl looked to our directing her eyes were squinted and her face scrunched up and she smiled. "Thank you"
"I'm Jack and this is my friend Vinnie"
"Um well nice to meet you, I'm gray" she replied. Her voice was so soft.
A few of the other boys came over.
"Oh my more people. Hello there."
The guys chuckled abit and Jordan was about to pick up what looked like a dog toy.
"Don't...please" the girl said as she changed the song. "I've left everything in a certain place. And I would like it to stay that way, thank you"
"Wow you have a good 5th sense" Jordan said. "You have a dog?"
"Mhm. Her names link, she's a black lab-"
Her phone started buzzing and she pressed stop and she whistled.
A dog. Her dog. Barked making its way other to her absolutely ignoring our existence and panting towards gray.
She had a reflector harness.
"You have a service dog" I asked.
"Yup, if you haven't connected the dots. I'm visually impaired" she smiled as the dog handed her the laptop bag. "Thank you L"
My mouth gaped.
She laughed as if she could feel the reacting from the guys and I.
"So your 4 sense?" Jordan said.
The group laughed. And she nodded smiling "exactly"
"If you don't mind me asking. Are you completely blind? Like Um can you not see anything?"
"Nah it's fine, and yes I am completely though I can make out really dim shadows sometimes. Since I was 8"
"That's....um chilll"
She laughed. Before tapping her phone.
"9:45"
"Oh shit. Well I think me and miss link should get going. It was nice meeting you all"
"Same to you" Jack said. "Mind if I give you a hug?"
"Go for it" she said with the cutest giggle. With her arm spread out wide and a wide smile on her face.
They hugged and eventually she went through the whole group.
Then getting to me. "Vinnie right?" She made sure to get all the boys names right which was adorable.
I hummed giving her a hug.
"I like your rings" she said letting go of me looking at me. This made we notice the grey and green of her eyes.
"How'd you know"
"I could feel them when you hugged me" she muttered fiddling with my fingers. Making me look down at my hand.
She's so darn beautiful.
The dog sniffled.
"I really should be getting home now. It was amazing meeting yall" she said padding her knee, so that link could come near to her side. so she could grab the leash.
We said goodbyes and she was lead home.
"Shit bro we should of got her Instagram or something she's pretty cool"
"God if she could see she'd be wanting to suck one of our dicks by now"
"Bro" I said.
"Sorry but it's true"
We all eventually went home and decided to try and look for gray on Instagram.
I could find her at but at least I know I have a chance at meeting her again at the skate park.
