Y/n stares out the airport window warily at the snow falling outside. Something so innocent could ruin her entire trip for her. Usually she didn't mind the snow too much, but today definitely wasn't the day for it.
"Attention passengers for Flight 669 to London-Heathrow Airport," A flight attendant near the gate desk comes on over the PA, and Y/n feels her heart sinking already. "Due to the approaching snowstorm, this flight has been cancelled. Please refer to the help desk to reschedule your flights and book hotels for the night. We apologize for the inconvenience,"
Y/n releases a heavy sigh and runs a hand through her hair. Almost absentmindedly, she takes her phone out and begins to type in a group chat once there.
> Y/n: guys is happened
> Y/n: *it
She gets replies almost immediately.
> Minx: NO DON'T SAY THAT PLEASE
> Niki: noooooooo :(((((
> Niki: did your flight really get cancelled???
Before Y/n can answer, Minx calls her.
"Hello-?"
"Y/N PLEASE THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" Minx yells loudly. Niki quickly shushes her in the background.
"Can you get your flight rescheduled?" Niki asks more calmly.
"Yeah, I will," Y/n mutters.
"Are you okay?" Minx adds, also now calmer and slightly worried.
"I'm just tired..." She replies. "I had long trips..."
"You'll make it here, don't worry!" Niki assures her. "Just reschedule your flight and get a hotel until then,"
"I'll try..."
"No, say you will Y/n," Minx scolds. "You will be getting on a flight to see us, you hear?"
"I will, I will," Y/n corrects herself with a tired laugh. "I'll call you guys in a bit, okay?"
"Okay," They both reply.
"Let us know when your new flight is coming, okay?" Niki says.
"Okay...bye guys,"
"Bye N/n," Minx replies.
Y/n hangs up. Then, as the other passengers were doing, she goes to the airline help desk to get her flight rescheduled.
There's a news monitor nearby showing the weather system moving over New York City, where she currently was. Her flight connection was supposed to take off from there, but obviously the snow had stopped that. All flights would be grounded until the storm had passed...which would be a while.
All she could do was wait and hope for the best.

Y/n could never sleep on planes. By the time she finally makes it to London, she's exhausted out of her mind. She drags her feet through British customs, barely aware of what she said to the immigration officers, before finally making it out into the general airport area. The only thing she can really compute is that it is dark outside.
