prompt: Techno decides at an inconvenient time in the DSMP plot that orphans aren't so bad

No no no no where is it now??
Come on...bruhhhh...
Techno ignores his voices taunting him as he rushes around the house, desperately searching for what he had lost...again.
After clearing the house, he puts his boots on and goes outside without his cloak on. To his relief, he finds what he's looking for.
Gotcha nerd...how does it keep getting away from us?
He runs to Steve and picks up the small creature playing in the snow beside him. It squeaks in surprise when it's picked up.
"Found me!" Y/n giggles.
"That's not funny," Techno holds the child out in front of him, holding her under her arms. "You know you can't come out here alone, it's not safe,"
"But I don't want Steve to get lonely," She pouts, her smile momentarily vanishing. "He gets sad outside by himself,"
"Steve is perfectly fine. He's a polar bear, their mostly solitary animals anyway,"
"What's a solid-airy?"
"It means we don't need to spend as much time with him as you think," Techno lowers her back into the snow, where he zips her coat up and properly rewards her scarf.
"Are we solid-airy then? Philza doesn't visit us a lot,"
"No...Well actually," He thinks for a moment. "I guess we sort of are,"
"I like being solid-air-"
"'Solitary',"
She starts over. "I like being solitary. It's nice and quiet and I can play with Steve! Can we stay outside for a while?"
"Well since you insist, you can help me feed Carl,"
"Okie!" Y/n begins to lead the way towards his corral, having to lift her short legs up higher than usual to trudge through the heavy snow. Eventually Techno just picks her back up again and carries her the rest of the way.
Adopting an 8-year-old was the last thing he had ever thought of doing. But when you find a kid lost out in the snow in the middle of a blizzard, you probably aren't just going to leave them there. Technoblade had assumed that he would have, but his guilty conscience forced him to turn back and get her before she froze.
Y/n wasn't so bad though. She was a bit naive, but she was brighter than she seemed. She had an eagerness to learn and explore things, even when it occasionally provided Techno with a panic attack...like when she would run outside without him knowing.
Still, he had grown to enjoy her company nonetheless. His voices, although they would deny it, definitely liked having her around as well.
"Techie?" Y/n asks after passing Carl another carrot. Techno ruffles her hair, making her sputter out a protest.
"Don't call me that nerd," He tells her playfully. "What is it?"
"Do you have any friends?"
That question sort of catches him off-guard. "Well obviously. I've got Phil and Carl and Steve and...nope that's it,"
