luke's mom instructed him to stay at home to prevent the risks of all of us getting covid, his mom was so nice and didn't leave the house until my dad got back from the hospital. my dad thanked her for everything and that was the last time i was to see her until covid cases were lower.
dad got back home about a month and a half later. it was rough waiting but after having to have some speech therapy and being forced onto a strict diet of soft food for a month and a half, he was back
home ... we just needed to pay for the hospital stay because our insurance couldn't cover it.

"$20,000" my dad sighed as he looked at the bill. "plus $7,000 from the bills and taxes i need to pay." he added as we both ate breakfast at the table. dad was eating yogurt and finely chopped up banana and i was having a slice of toast.
"we can eventually pay it back dad." i tried to reassure him.
"not with the pay that i'm getting." he complained. "it'll take years to get out of this one."
my heart sunk, we had only just recently payed off my mom's bill from after she died. it broke my dad into pieces.
"we'll think of something dad." i said after putting my plate into the dishwasher. "anyways, i'm gonna be late to my zoom class. i'll see you in about an hour." i kissed his cheek and went upstairs.

during my class, i started writing down ideas about what to do to get us out of debt.

ways to get our of debt.

- get another job
- sell a lot of things.
- sell the house and get a smaller one.

then it hit me.

streaming.

luke gets money off of it, this means it can get us out of debt. once i wrote it down, i sent luke a message.

it hurt calling luke a friend, but that's probably the way he sees me anyways. he has a lot of online female friends anyways and he talks about how good they are as friends.

but it was settled then.

the word that engraved into my brain from the person that my feelings were growing for. my heart sunk like an anchor to the bottom of the ocean.

i thought it was great that els would start streaming. i mean, i would have another friend to discuss it with. i mean, grayson, my other bestfriend had no interest in streaming but supported me anyways and was the only friend who stayed close to me when i moved. he meant a lot to me and talked about their partner a lot. toby, tom and grayson were the only people who knew about elsie and i couldn't wait to tell toby and tom about what she was planning. they were the ones who made me realise that i liked her in the first place.

"so lukas, my friend. how's the new place? have you made any real life friends?" toby asked after he had ended his very chaotic stream.
"uh, well maybe?" i started. "i met this girl, who was my barista but it turned out that she lives near me and we're really good friends now." i said, rushing my words, not sure if it was making sense
"ok ... what?" he stuttered.
"what does she look like big man?" tommy asked in his gruff voice.
"well ... she has long, brown hair. her eyes are the prettiest shade of hazel. she is about your height tubbo." i explained.
"oh yeah? and what does she sound like?" toby added.
"uuhm." i started unsurely.
"you don't have to say bossman-"
"like the sound of angels." i butted in "her laugh is so genuine. and her smile, oh my god her smile is gorgeous." i admired.
toby and tommy chuckled between themselves.
"aww does lukey have a little crush." tommy asked. i was taken aback for a second.
"wh-what. no! n-n-n-n-no no! me? no i don't like her." i protested.
"mhm sure." toby started "oh how i love her angelic sounding voice !" he finished in a higher pitched 'girl voice' imitating me.
"i don't sound like that toby." i muttered. "hm ... maybe i do like her. i mean no other person has made me feel this way before. but she is so out of my league. i mean, once you've met her you'll understand how amazing she is." i explained.
"well whether you like her or not, i want to meet her. she sounds like an amazing person." tubbo said.
"of course toby." i replied, smiling.

i tried hard to focus on my online class, but it was difficult because of my thoughts about new streams i was doing, videos i had to plan, and everything else. i also was thinking of ways to help elsie start up streaming. maybe if we did a stream together and then we can get people to go follow her or something? maybe making a twitter account? i'll bring it up to elsie and see what she likes.

once my class had finally finished, i went downstairs to get some cereal. i took the cereal bowl and went upstairs to call elsie on discord. she answered almost immediately.
"hey lukey." she said once her camera turned on, taking a bite of what seemed like an energy bar.
"hey!" i said, copying what elsie did and turned on my camera too. "so i have a couple of ideas for your dad." i started.
"oh really? i've not really thought of it that much." she said guiltily.
"well, phys ed isn't that interesting online so" i joked. "anyways! i was thinking, if you made a twitter and twitch account, we could stream together for a charity type stream for your dad. i could announce it on my twitter and we could invite a lot of my friends to it too!" i offered. i saw elsie's smile brighten and she nodded her head.
"that would be cool dude. i just need to get used to calling you ranboo, and maybe i should get an online name." she mentioned.
"what about ... rose?" i asked, remembering how her hair smelled like it from when we first met.
"why rose?" she asked.
"w-well it's my favourite flower ..." i stammered. "and i think you'd really suit something like 'rose_gaming.' "
elsie smiled and nodded her head.
"it sounds nice lukey. i'll make it that." she said, typing on her keyboard.

"perfect, now we both have to get used to us using different names." she giggled. once we both had followed each other on everything (twitter, instagram and twitch).
"darn right." i replied.
