We left Kenya that night. Tristan had led us to a smaller town north of Kenya where some other elementals lived.
Tristan rode his horse beside me. "Hey," he said and gave me a half-smile. "Hey," I said and patted Clay's neck. "Just thought I'd warn you about the other elementals living here," he said.
I nodded, listening. "They're a lot like you and your friends. Very independent and outspoken. Don't agitate them unless you're prepared to dodge a punch. Also, the leader, Ridge, is very cocky. He'll try and make you feel intimidated. Just ignore him and if it gets too bad, find me," Tristan finished. "Okay, but they need to remember, WE'RE higher in rank than them. Also, you might want to go find Kira and tell her this," I said and looked behind me for Kira. Tristan nodded and went to tell Kira.
"Sammi," a voice said behind me. Lukas rode up next to me and smiled. "Hi," I said in a voice several octaves higher than my original tone.
STOP.
"What was Tristan saying?" he asked. "Uh, just telling me about the other elementals, " I stuttered.
He nodded and looked at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing. I just enjoy looking at you," he smiled.
I felt my cheeks blush as I said, "Why is that?"
"Because you're beautiful, " Lukas said.
My cheeks grew hot and I looked away.
"I'm not beautiful. Far from it," I said, avoiding eye contact.
"You may not think so, but you are to me," Lukas said. He winked and rode up to Cory.
"Oh my gosh," I whispered.

Sorry I haven't updated. And, ew. Short chapter. I was just on spring break and didn't have time to write. Actually, I wrote this chapter in the car on the way home from Tennessee. So, yes. I know what you're thinking: there's more elements?! Just kidding, you're wondering about Sammi and Lukas. OTP, right?! Lukas isn't modeled by anyone I know, just to clarify. Bleu, Kira, and Cory are though.
