October rolled by without a hitch.

Bela was now fixing her tie anxiously as she readied herself for her plan.

Was she ready? All week before this day she kept on asking herself that one question.

Today was the day of the departing and Alan and Mia had yet to arrive, and the other employees called her on landline just to say that to her. She's early because she was taught that way by her mother. Being an eldest had its perks.

She shakes her head and closes her eyes as she took deep breaths, not entirely calming herself but it worked better than she first expected.

Today was the day to enact the plan...

Today was the day to enact the-

Stay calm my god!

Bela couldn't hide her anxiety and nervousness. Its really making her feel insane just thinking about it, acting out her lines in front of the mirror all by herself.

She shakes her head again and leaves her room, ready for the ship's department.

She kept on sighing while riding on her way to the Connections' bought dock.

The service was also from the Connections.

When she finally arrived there she already saw the huge ship still tied to the bridge leading to it. Its massive and Bela wonders how the rope's still holding on.

She inhales and exhales again before finally going to the sand near the dock's bridge.

A few minutes after she went there Mia called out her name and when she turned around, she saw Alan walking behind her.

Bela smiled as Mia talked to her.

-----

"Are you ready? To depart I mean." Mia asked and Bela nodded, playing with her tie nervously.

"I am..." it took most of her to say that because after this, she won't actually board. This will sadden Mia.

But when Bela glanced at Alan again she saw two more men holding Eveline in their grips, also to the ship.

Of course Eveline will come. She's the whole purpose of this 'trip' after all.

Bela greets Eveline a 'hi' and Eveline responds casually, like any other child.

The other employees said they should wait for a bit more until they can board.

-----

After at least 2 hours they finally allowed them to board.

The time they called for them to start made Bela more anxious. She's more than nervous at this point.

It's time to enact the plan.

It's time to enact the-

She cut her thoughts off when she felt a small hand grasp her own.

Bela looked down and saw Eveline, smiling up at her and holding her hand firmly.

Bela smiled back, now kind of feeling something else. For a few seconds her anxiety and nervousness left her and Eveline pulled her with her to the ship.

But the men took her and separated her hand from Bela's. Bela smiled at her while she was dragged to another enclosure.

Mia went to her while Alan followed the men to where they were going to bring Eveline.

Mia started to talk to her before Bela turned around.

Slowly, at first, before she started sprinting.

"Bela? Bela, where are you-" Mia was cut off as Bela ran past her, going to the ship's edge.

"Bela!" Mia shouted for her but it was too late and she jumped from the railing and down from the deck.

Mia shouted her name again as she ran to the railing herself, still shouting her name.

Bela wasn't too far from the bridge when she jumped and by then the employees started filing out the beach.

Mia was still staring at her wide-eyed even when she finally reached the sand again.

Bela turned around to face Mia.

Mia was asking, shouting at her why she jumped. Bela only smiled at her as the ship got further and further away.

Mia's look was all confusion. She was confused why she left but Bela's sudden confidence still hasn't recovered back to normal.

Bela only started to walk away from where she was staring at Mia when the ship started to sail too far that she could no longer see the Winters even at the edge of the deck.

-----

A little later Bela started to walk up the stairs at the side of the beach, where the people use for sightseeing the ocean.

Luckily for her when she walked there it was empty.

She walked to one of the railings and she saw a lone crow fly from the sky and land on the railing a meter away from where Bela was leaning.

Bela watched as the sun lowered bit by bit.

She also watched the SS Anabelle move peacefully through the waters, now fully away from the dock.

She wonders what Mia thinks of her now.

What Eveline thinks of her now.

She felt herself getting wet.

Is it raining?

From the corner of her eye she saw the crow turn its head to face her.

She felt a thud in her chest.

And another.

And another.

The thudding became stale after awhile.

Her confidence depleted considerably and she felt more tears slide down her face.
