"Where am I...?" I mumbled to myself. It was dark in the room where I was. Thankfully, I can see in the dark since I'm so used to it. I tried to get up but I was tied down to a wooden chair. Ugh, now what? Where is Father? "Father!? Where the hell are you!?" I yelled assertively.
I looked around the room for anything that can help me. There wasn't even a door! How did I get in here then? I heard distant footsteps from behind me. Was it Henry? Was he alright? I heard a doorknob turn from behind. So the door was behind me the whole time... I heard the door open and close again.
The footsteps became louder and sounded closer until they stopped directly behind me. A hand stretched from behind and lifted my chin up to look at the person. It was Father... How is he human again!? "Illusion disk." He said, as if he read my mind. How did he get one? Did he have a spare that I didn't know about?
"Where's Henry?" I said acerbically. "Don't worry, you'll see him soon." He said in a soft tone. "Why am I tied up?" I asked, annoyed. He chuckled at my question. "I can't have you running off now, can I?~" He said playfully. I rolled my eyes and faced forward. He walked in front of me and stooped down. "How do you feel?" He asked genuinely.
"Mentally or physically?" I asked blankly. "Both." He replied. "Mentally, I feel horrible since I'm stuck in a room with you." I said, apathetically as a big grin formed on his face. "Physically, fine." I stated candidly. "Hmm.." He seemed to be thinking. "Interesting..." He mumbled to himself. "What is?" I asked curiously.
"Don't you feel weak or faint in the slightest...?" He asked intrigued. "No...?" I said confused. He seemed awestruck. "Do you remember what I did to you?" He asked ardently. "Yeah, you took some of my remnant out." I stated bluntly. "Actually, I took most of it out. There should only be fiver percent of remnant in your body left from the original amount." He said truthfully.
"So what does that mean?" I asked, feeling perplexed. "It means you would still be alive, but you would barely be able to move from how weak you should feel." He said frankly. I had no reaction. "Aren't you surprised?" He questioned. "No, not really. It was to be expected honestly." I said blankly. "How so?" He asked curiously.
"That scooper thing injected a lot of remnant inside of me. I would be surprised if that syringe could hold all of that inside of it..." I stated neutrally. He seemed intrigued somewhat because he gave a big smile and his eyes lit up for a split second. "Does this mean your interested in remnant?" He asked excitedly.
"Unfortunately, no." I said sarcastically. Instantaneously, his smile faded. I laughed at this. "Sorry, but I don't kill others for the sake of immortality." I said in almost a bragging tone. "Disappointing." He sighed. "Whatever, old man." I said callously and rolled my eyes. "You need to learn to respect me." He said condescendingly.
"Or what?" I said, challenging him. A malicious smile began forming on his face as his eyes glowed a remnant pinkish-purple. "I don't think you want to test me~" He said playfully while death staring me. "Maybe I do." I said, feeling contentious. We were completely still, staring at each other for almost a full minute without blinking.
Suddenly, I heard the door from behind me swing open. Father looked angry at whoever was at the door. "Let him go." I heard Henry say from behind me. Thank God he's safe... "Why would I do that?" Father asked, derisive. "Let him go or I'll hit you with this!" Henry yelled defensively.
Father let out a maniacal chuckle. "Then do it~" Father said, cynical. I heard fast footsteps come closer towards us. Henry ran up to Father and swung the pipe wrench that he had tried to hit me with earlier. Father managed to dodge the attack and trip him in the process. He quickly grabbed the pipe wrench off the floor next to Henry.
"Is that the best you can do, old friend?~" Father said in a belligerent tone. Henry quickly got off the floor and reached for something in his back pocket but then Father swung the pipe wrench. Henry ducked just in time but accidently threw the object he was holding. "You've got no weapons, Henry. Are you sure you want to do this?" Father asked with a wide cynical smile on his face.
Henry got into fighting stance to try to defend himself. Father charged towards Henry, ready to swing the pipe. He kicked Henry in his stomach to make Henry bring his hands down so he could get a proper hit. He then swung the pipe wrench and hit Henry in the head; knocking him out. "Henry!" I yelled out.
"Don't worry. He'll be fine." Father said bluntly. "He'll only be unconscious for a few hours." He continued. "Untie me! At least let me help him!" I begged him, struggling to get out of the rope my hands were tied with. "And why would I do that?" He asked, now facing me. "If you don't, I'll scream." I said, staring him directly in the eyes.
"What are you going to do? Throw a temper tantrum?" He said sarcastically. "I'll scream loud enough for the neighbors to hear me." I said blankly. "Oh Michael~" He cooed. "You don't know where we are, do you?" He said in a playful tone. Was I supposed to know where we are? It doesn't seem familiar...
"We're in a secret room in our basement." He continued, using the same tone as before. "Not to mention that it's sound proof." He said almost bragging. He had a secret room this entire time!? I've been using this basement for years... How did I not know this? "So scream your little lungs out Mikey~" He began to say in a cynical tone.
"No one will be able to hear you." He stated. Damn it. I have no leverage on him. I can't do anything. Especially when I'm tied up. I looked down to the ground, not wanting to see his face. I think I'm going to give up... With Henry knocked out and soundproof walls, no one can get us out. I heard him walk up to me.
I continued to look at the ground. "Mikey~" He cooed my name again. He used a finger to lift up my chin to make me look at him. He had a huge stupid smile on his face. I looked to the side, trying to avoid his gaze. He used both his hands to grab the sides of my head to face me towards him.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you." He said angry. I didn't respond. "You think this is a game, don't you?" He said, his anger rising. I said nothing. "Answer me when I'm talking to you." He said demanding. I just continued to look at him. No matter what I would say, I knew he would get angry.
He let go of my head and had his hands at his sides in a fist with an angered expression on his face. I continued to stare at him. In a swift motion, he threw a punch at my face which made me cough up some blood. He lifted me up by my hair and continued to punch me a few more times. His knuckles and his shirt had my blood on them.
I looked down to see a puddle of my own blood between me and Father. I chuckled at this. I then began to laugh. "You've gone weak old man." I began to say in an almost bragging tone. "You need to tie me up to give me a beating." I continued. I looked up to him with a smug grin on my face.
"Are you afraid that your son might be stronger than you?" I asked him sarcastically. He slapped me. "No." He stated blankly. "I needed to discipline you without having you fight back." He said in a serious tone. "I am your Father. And you listen to what I say." He stated firmly. "Do you understand me?" He asked.
I looked up at him. I didn't want to comply with him, but I had no other choice. "I understand, Father." I said clearly.
