-Time Skip-

We watched two movies together in my room. Each movie was about an hour and a half which meant that it was around 6:30AM. This meant that it was time to start making breakfast as my apology for Henry. I get up from the bed and walk out of the room. I can hear a distant pair of footsteps follow me but I don't pay attention to it.

Let's see... Maybe some sunny side up eggs with bacon and what else...? Pancakes? That sounds good. Hopefully Henry will like it. As I made it into the kitchen, I thought of what ingredients I needed. I walk over to the fridge and grab the eggs and bacon and then place them on the countertop. Where is the pancake mix?

I look in some of the cabinets until I realized I was blind and it was sitting on the counter the entire time... I give the box a death stare like it was its fault I didn't see it the first time and then grab it. I grab a pan and place it on to the stove and then turned the stove on. I could see Father watching me.

He was standing up in the kitchen, leaning against the counter. Man it feels weird having your father watch you cook for someone else... Almost as if he's begging you to make some food for him too... Whatever, I guess I'll make him something as well. "Huh?" I say out of confusion.

Father goes behind me and puts on an apron on me and ties it around my back. "Don't get your clothes messed up." He says. He goes back to leaning against the counter. "Thanks..." I mumbled. Weird coming from him... Anyway.

Welcome to Michael's Cooking Show!
Will I:
A- Mess up really bad
B- Burn the food
C- 'Somehow' burn the house down (arson)
D- Be an amazing chef

If you picked C...THEN YOU'RE WRONG. I can't believe you people have no faith in me. I commit arson one time and you guys think I'm a criminal. It was D guys... How dare you underestimate my cooking skills. I had to help my mother cook sometimes so naturally, I kept those skills.

As I finished with the eggs and the bacon, I reach over to grab the pancake mix but I ended up grabbing nothing. I look over to where I put the box only to find it missing. I hear Father chuckle. I look over to him holding the pancake mix. "What are you doing with it?" I ask him.

"Just holding on to it for extra measures." He says with a smile at the end of his sentence. "Well I need it now, so can I have it?" I ask him. He remains silent for a moment. He looks like he's thinking about something. "Say please first." He says happily. Are you kidding me? "Please..." I mumbled.

"What was that?" He says, pretending not to hear me. "Please." I say a little louder this time. "Louder." He says. "Alright, I know you heard me." I say, already annoyed. I start walking over to him. His smile grows wider. He holds the box in his hand and stretches it up in the air.

We were now standing in front of each other face to face. I tried to stretch and grab it out from his hand but failed. He was a couple of inches taller than me so I couldn't reach it. "Come on, Michael." He says. I sigh. "Can I please have it, Dad?" I ask him politely. He gently ruffles my hair.

He brings his hand down and gives it to me. "See, that wasn't so hard, was it?" He asked. It was hard though. I had to say please to a murderer... That was a moment of weakness. I can't let a murderer be better than me. And I especially can't have him making me do things for him.

I use the pancake mix and put some in the pan. As I wait for it to cook before I can flip it, I feel someone's arms wrap around me. I can immediately tell who it is. "Hi, Henry." I say happily. "Good morning, Mike..." Henry says in a tired voice. "Did you sleep well?" I ask him. "Mhm..." He says as he is still hugging me.

"You still sound tired." I laugh. "Well, I couldn't sleep much since I was worried about you..." He admits. "I'm sorry, Henry... I lost track of time." I tell him. "It's okay. As long as you're safe." He says. This is why I love Henry. He doesn't get angry easily. "Where's my hug?" Father asks.

I turn my head to look at him as he's still leaning against the counter. "Well, I wasn't the one that walked up to Henry for the hug, was I?" I asked him. He stands up straight now, no longer leaning on the counter. He starts walking towards me. "What are you doing?" I ask him.

He stays silent as he continues to walk closer. I start to feel nervous, wondering what he will do. He better not do anything to Henry... As he now stands next to me, I see him stretch his arms out and hug me. "Huh?" I say, surprised. They are now both hugging me as I stand there, speechless.

"Uhm, guys...?" I say. Neither one of them responded. "I kind of have to get back to flipping the pancakes..." I tell them. I used my right hand to flip pancakes, and that was where Father was hugging me. "Use your left hand." He states as he does not move. I sigh.

I switch the spatula to my left hand. I mean... at least they're getting along. Sort of... But at least there's no arguing. I feel so tired though. I could fall asleep standing up right now. I forced myself to try to stay awake as best as I can. It doesn't help that there are two people hugging me right now...

Finally, the pancakes are done. "Alright, breakfast is ready." I say. Neither one of them move. "Do you want food or not?" I ask, now annoyed. I don't like hugs that much. But I've tolerated them long enough. I was going to snap if they didn't get off me anytime soon.

They finally let go. "Go sit at the table and I'll bring the food over." I sigh. They both leave the kitchen. This feels like a dream... It's too good to be true. I should be grateful that they aren't fighting though. Hopefully it stays like this for a while...
