~Taylor's POV~
"I don't like what you did in there." The wanna be bad boy stated. I found my schedule and pulled it out ready to sneak my way out of this conversation. I looked at it and turned away. Hoping, maybe just maybe, he would get the hint that I wasn't listening and go away. But I was wrong; he just jogged over to me once he realized I was no longer standing in front of him. He was now beside me; he shifted his books to his left side. I was on his right. He repeated his self.
"I don't like what you did in there." He said irritated.
"that's cute. You actually think I care." I said half listening and half focusing on where I'm trying to get.
"Look," He stopped right in front of me, so I was forced to stop and look up at him. I'm 5'2'' so; he is much taller than I am. "I don't know who you think you are. I have a reputation to maintain. You have to pay for what you did." He stared into my eyes as he spoke. The longer he stared the softer his eyes got. He had the most enticing green eyes. "Uh huh," I crossed my arms over my B sized chest, unentertained, I said, "What kind of reputation do you have to uphold exactly?"
He didn't answer.
"If you don't mind, I would like to get to all my classes on time, on my first day." I cross my arms again. I'm already over this guy.
"Well, before you go. Can we at least be on a first name basis? I'm Kyle." He sticks his hand out to me. I roll my eyes. I uncross my arms. I wacked his hand out of my way; I'm finally at the room I'm supposed to be in. He jumps in front of the door. "Seriously?" I shout at him throwing my hands up into the air.
"Tell me your name, I'll forget about your delirious episode in first period, and the attitude you're giving me now."
"So, I tell you my name, and you'll leave me alone?" I question, getting a little excited. He nods. I thought about telling him some fake porn star type of name, but I gave up after a while, because that could backfire. I really wanted to get into my class. "Taylor." I gave it up. My name; It's now no longer a work of guessing for him. He smiled at me brightly. He has a beautiful smile. My knees turned to jelly, and my cheeks flushed. I tucked a small strand of hair behind my ear. I couldn't help but smile back.
"Taylor," He repeats it. The way my name rolls of his tongue makes me want to run right into his arms, his voice smooth and rough, all at once. "Alright, don't think we're through with this conversation!" He shouts out towards me as he's backing down the hallway. I can't resist, I roll my eyes. " I thought you said you'd leave me alone?" I chuckled. He ruined it. He ruined the moment. Typical for guys like him, the tardy bell rang a while ago; so much for getting to class on time. The rest of my day was pretty much, any regular day. Except for the fact, it was a new school; there were new people, new rooms, new education, and a new town. I sat with Annabelle and her friend Tiff at lunch.
She's a loner type but her body was very athletic. I later learned she was on the soccer team. But this year she was trying out for all our sports. She was alright, she didn't have an I'm too cool for you attitude. I don't think she knows how badly Annabelle is being bullied. Over the course of our lunch time, I had started calling Annabelle, Belle, and I found out Tiff was short for Tiffany. When we left lunch, we had to finish the rest of the school day. I introduced myself in a few of my classes. Others just did not care. I pulled into the driveway of my white, country home. My mom's truck wasn't there so I assumed she wasn't home; I just walked into the house. I guess my mom must have forgotten to lock it. I ran up the stairs to my room. I threw my purse into the far corner into the junk chair. I plopped down onto my queen-sized bed. I crawled under the pure white sheets. I laid my head back onto my fluffy white pillows. I was so comfortable that I drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
My nap only lasted about 90 minutes. It was long but it was refreshing. When I opened my eyes my sigh was fuzzy and all of my senses were trying to settle in. I took in a nice deep breath and let out a strong stretch. The smell of something burning filled my nose. Panic began to rise in me. What was burning? I jumped out of my bed and sprinted downstairs. I ran into the kitchen, and there stood my mother in all her glory. She was standing over the stove trying to fan out the smoke. "Uhm, what's going on?" I ask her. She jumped at the sound of my voice, I guess she didn't hear me come in. "Oh, hi honey! I'm cooking us some steaks, you want one?" She turned back around to flip the meat. "Sure!" I leaned back to peak at the dining room table. Carly sat there coloring ferociously. I walked over and sat down next to her. "Hey kiddo, you got a page I can color on too?" She nodded before taking a page out of her coloring book. She pushed the colors between us, and I stared coloring in my rainbow. "How was your first day of school today?" "It was good! My teacher Mrs. Dizzy wore cat ears, and my classmates were all really nice!" She jumped up into her chair. "Mrs. Dizzy?" That's an odd name for a teacher. "Yeah, dizzy. Look." She ran to grab her backpack and she pulled out a yellow folder and pointed to the name on the cover, it read 'Mrs. Daisy's First grade class." Ah that makes more sense. "It's Daisy sweetheart, not dizzy." Her tiny little eyebrows knitted together, and she was trying to read the name tag. "Dizzy. Dizzy. Dizzy." I giggled at her. My mom ended up bringing in our dinner, we had steaks, mashed potatoes and macaroni. Healthy living here ladies and gentlemen. My mom was the kind of mom that loved to cook and always wanted us to have family dinners.
We sat and ate together. My mom asked us both about our day, and then she told us about her new job and how her coworkers were extremely inviting. She thinks she's going to like it there. Carly went on to tell us more about her school and her classmates. We talked while we ate and visited a little after we had finished our meals. Shortly after I headed off to bed, and they followed. We all had an early morning.
