I didn't stay in the hospital for long. They ran some tests and took some swabs for evidence. The police came to question me. They got all they needed and advised me that they would reach out if they had any more questions. An agent handed me his card before he made his exit. I had quickly changed from the hospital gown to my personal clothes that my mother had brought me. I could see the worried look in her eyes. She had been worried. I would have been too if my daughter disappeared for a second time in the same month for several hours on end. Especially if she had woken up in a hospital. I loved the concern she showed me. She nurtured me in all the right ways. I loved her, and that only made me miss my dad and my brother even more. I never called Colton back and it's been since the day I left that I had last spoken to him. "Ready to go?" Kyle asked. My bag of belongings thrown over his shoulder as if it weighed nothing. Kyle placed his hand on my lower back. I was still uncomfortable being touched, even if it was him. So, I moved a little to the side. His hand dropped from my back. The fresh air causing a chill. Kyle waved off at my mom. She waved back and brought me in for a hug.

"I'm so glad you're okay baby." I hugged her back reluctantly. I was ready for that, although it should have been expected. I was kind of confused. Was I not going home with her? I hadn't realized we had walked all the way to my mother's picked up truck. She opened her door and stepped into the beaten down truck. I hoped one day I could buy her a new one. She has worked so hard for us; it was the least I could do. The sports car next to where my mom's truck had been, beeped and clicked. It had been unlocked. I looked across the parking spot at Kyle who is holding the driver side door open. He tossed my pink carry on into the back seat. I guess I was riding in this thing. When we got in the car I decided to ask, "Are you taking me home?" He chuckled at this. "No, I told you mom that my parents have been worried sick about you, and they wanted to see that you were alright for themselves." My lips pursed. "So, we're going to your house." I nodded. That was okay with me. Even though the last time I was there, I had been attacked in the woods and then acted like a giant baby that clung all over Kyle and then proceeded to book it without saying goodbye to anyone. Yeah, this was going to go over well.

We came up to a solid black gate with a crest in the middle. I held a D in the center of what looked to be a full moon. A family crest perhaps. How did I not pick up that these people were werewolves sooner? They all are ridiculously strong and attractive. Whatever genes that coursed through werewolf blood was something I could use. Granted being forced to shape shift every full moon was not ideal. We drove up a stone driveway that allowed the forest to zoom past us. The site was beautiful. Their home wasn't anything less than expected. It was as beautiful as I remembered it to be. I was nervous to go inside, so whenever Kyle shifted the gears into park, panic began to erupt through me. I couldn't knock the feeling that something was going to happen. I wasn't sure if it was good or bad, but I could tell you it didn't help my anxiety. He walked over and opened my door for me. My pink bag in tote. He carried my stuff a lot, now that I think about. We walked into his house and several people rushed to me. Two of them I recognized to be Kyle's parents, a younger girl who resembled Kyle. I later found out her name was Marie, and she was Kyle's biological little sister. Lucas was here, and so was someone else I didn't recognize. He seemed to blend into the shadows. No one else acknowledged he was there. Hm. My forehead creased, and my eyes never left his as I took in all the welcoming hugs. I pulled my attention back to the family in front of me.

"Taylor, we're so glad you're okay. You and Kyle can go put your things upstairs, dinner is almost ready." She walked off towards the kitchen, her husband following suit. Kyle grabbed my hand and dragged me up the stairs. There quite a few doors in the hallway, we made a left and he opened the third door on the right. His room is almost exactly how I imagined it. It was grey with black under tones. He had a window wall that looked out into the forest. The view was breathtaking. I instinctively was drawn to it. Kyle stood next to me. His gaze never left me. "Beautiful, isn't it." I nodded. It was probably one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen before. Fog lingered in the trees. The moisture thick in the air. The trees standing tall and vibrantly. I looked back at Kyle, and he was still staring at me. I blushed. Feeling heat burn below my waist. The way he looks at me had the ability to make me feel abnormal levels of teenage hormones. I quickly sat in the chair next to me. I crossed my legs and squeezed them together, attempting to null the throb in my lower regions. I flipped the lamp on next to me. Kyle took his place on the couch across from me.
