The sun faded away slowly
in front of my eyes
and I conveniently caress
the darkness where I resided.
I thought it was okay
to settle in a place from
where there was no turning
back towards the light.
And I didn't even know,
I needed a knight in shining armour
to save me until you came by.
You took me out of the shadows,
clean the shattered glasses
off the floor, healed my unseen
wounds and nurtured my soul.
It was your words that gave me
courage to fall in love again
with you and myself.
So, every time I utter I love you to you,
I give you a piece of my soul
into your hands to love me back.
It won't ever fade away like the
fallen stars away from home
but it will always trace back to
the horizon in-between moments
of dusk and dawn.
Love will always be there.
