CHAPTER 7 - Together

Johnmar's POV

I can't sleep! Kanina pa ako papalit-palit ng pwesto hindi ko pa din makuhaa tulog ko. I'm currently here at the side of the bed and Danerie is on the floor with his blanket. Namamahay lang siguro ako pero hanggang ngayon ramdam ko pa din yung inis ko. Hindi ko alam bakit ako naiinis, dahil ba sa hindi ako makatulog o dahil dun sa narinig ko kanina? Aaaaarrrghhh lalo akong hindi makakatulog kakaisip neto. I covered myself with a pillow since the pillow was so big it can cover half of my body. Minutes passed I still haven't fell asleep my mind keeps thinking except for the fact that I missed a game this night and it's really frustrating! Damn that rain edi sana nasa bahay ako ngayon naglalaro!

"Di ka makatulog?" his croaked voice chills down to my spine. Damn this guy isa ka sa mga dahilan kung bakit!

"Namamahay ako, hinahanap ng katawan ko yung kama ko." pati yung controllers ko hinahanap na ako kung alam mo lang.

"Gusto mo kwentuhan tayo hanggang sa makatulog ka?" he offered while he's still covered with blanket. The floor must be cold. I can't even see him since the light's dimmed.

"Kung nilalamig ka pwede ka naman dito sa kama mo, maluwang pa naman space. We can put pillows between us naman." pareho naman kaming lalaki no, like duh?

"Are you sure? Di awkward?"

"Panong awkward yun? Sayo naman to, pagdadamot ko ba yung di naman sakin?" I honestly said.

"I mean, we're going to share the same bed?"

"It's fine, may mga unan naman sa gitna." arte arte naman neto, ba't di nalang sabihin na ayaw akong katabi.

"If you say so, ang lamig nga ng sahig kahit may comforter na." he said, as he climbed up to the bed.

I put two pillows between us to avoid the space gaps. Well, this is awkward. No one is talking. Akala ko ba kwentuhan? Nakatulog na yata tong katabi ko. Gusto kong humarap sa wall kaso nakakatakot gumalaw baka magising tong katabi ko.

"I'm not asleep if that's what you're thinking."

Syempre nagulat ako, mind reader ba 'to? O masyado lang akong halata?

"So what's the feeling of being the most intelligent student?" he asked out of nowhere.

"Pressured, pero nasanay na ako." I humbly said.

"Subsob ka sa pag-aaral? You should take a break sometimes! Wala ka bang libangan?"

"I read books to kill time." emz! I play a lot of games and staying up all night! That's my hobby!

"Ganon pa din naman yun e, try mo maglaro like console games. Like super mario, tekken. Tara! we can play it together may xbox and controllers ako dyan." he said saka siya bumangon at pumunta sa may sala.

Is he serious? Super mario? I already reached World 8 and saved Princess Toadstool. I also finished the Super Mario Bros 2 and defeated Wart, yung chakang palaka. Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Cart. Bumangon ako at pinanood si Danerie na iset up yung lalaruin daw namin. Napakamot nalang ako sa ulo kasi parang seryoso talaga siya na maglalaro kami.

"Punta kana dito Vee, dalian mo." he said as he finished the set up.

Bumaba na ako ng kama saka ako pumunta kung saan siya nakaupo ngayon.

"Now what?" sabihin ko nalang yata na inaantok na ako para magtigil tong si Danerie eh.

"So we're going to play Super Mario Bros, there's different kind of character you can play. Either Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad. Ano gusto mo?" tanong niya sakin habang inaabot yung controller.
