"i'll always come back to you."

it was a peaceful morning in the glade, as usual. thomas was up for his morning run with minho and i was out in the garden with newt. i quickly gave thomas a goodbye kiss. "be safe," i whispered. "always," he smiled. i watched as he trotted off with minho into the maze. it was always so nerve racking watching him go into the maze. that same thought always stayed in the back of my mind, 'what if he doesn't come back?' i never had to worry though, my tommy always came back to me.

everyone was crowded around the maze doors as minho and thomas were supposed to be back by now. "where are they?" i anxiously said. newt rubbed my back, comforting me. "they'll make it, y/n. they always do," he reassured. i anxiously bit my nails. they were supposed to be back 10 minutes ago and the maze doors are going to close soon. suddenly, the maze doors had closed and they were no where to be found. my heart was crushed. i started to sob. he's gone.

i was woken up with a jolt. "tommy," i cried. tears covered my face. "what is it baby?" he said hugging me. "i had a nightmare that you went into the maze.. and you never came back," i sobbed. he kissed my forehead, carefully stroking my cheek. "oh baby, i will always come back to you no matter what. okay?" he softly spoke. i nodded. i rested my head in the crook of his neck. "i love you," i breathed. "i love you too, y/n."
