Six years later...
Charlie ran down the high street, counting the building numbers until he reached number one-four-three.
He nervously walked up the steps, adjusting his shirt and running a hand through his quiffed blonde hair.
Charlie tapped the shining door with his fist and stepped back, as if he was scared of who might answer.
The door was opened by a tall, tanned young woman. She had long, curly light brown hair resting on her shoulders, and bright green eyes with long, sleek eyelashes. She wore a paint stained one direction shirt and ripped black jeans, but to Charlie she looked like the most beautiful woman in the world.
"Naomi?"
She widened her eyes, opening her mouth and staring at him.
"Charlie?"

"So!" Naomi said excitedly. Charlie happily noted that she was quite clearly the same person she had been when he first met her; bubbly, friendly, carefree. "How did you find me?"
Charlie took a sip of his coffee. "Um. Your mum."
"You spoke to my mum?" Naomi visibly cringed.
"Yeah. I needed to see you," he said.
"I'm surprised you found the time. You're a worldwide superstar, Charlie."
Charlie just smiled and shrugged.
"So how's Leo? He's still with-"
"Becca? Yeah. He's happy."
"Good," Naomi said, making an awkward turtle with her hands. Neither of them spoke for a minute.
"I missed you," Charlie said quietly, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"I missed you," Naomi echoed.
Neither of them spoke for a further minute, until Charlie leaned over and kissed her softly.
"I-I'm sorry," he said. "I just-"
"No," she smiled. "It's fine."
He returned the smile. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that."
"Six years?" Naomi sighed, and he nodded. "I know the feeling."
They were silent for a minute, until Naomi spoke, smiling."Just think, neither of us would be here right now if it weren't for the day I butt-dialled bars and melody."

The day I butt-dialled bars and melody
FanfictionNaomi Leigh loves bars and melody. A lot. A little too much. Admittedly though, she did do this with JLS. And One Direction. And The Wanted. And The Vamps too, actually. But this time, it will not pass next time another cute boyband comes. Probably...
