Leo's P.O.V

Where is Naomi? I walk around the room looking for her but I can't see her anywhere.

"Um, hi. It's Leondre, isn't it?" A voice says. A turn around and behind me is a girl with blue dip dyed hair.

"Yeah, hi," I reply, my eyes scouring the room for the familiar wavy brown hair.

"I need Charlie's number," she says.

"OK, well, I can't just give it to you, sorry," I reply, not fully paying attention.

"You might want to rethink that."

"Sorry, but I'm kind of busy, soooo," I say.

"I don't care. I need Charlie's number," she continues, an icy edge to her voice.

"Well, why don't you ask Charlie," I suggest sarcastically.

"He's busy," she replies, gesturing to the very corner of the room, where Charlie is kissing some girl. I sigh impatiently.

"Why does he always do this?" I grumble, and kick the sofa, stubbing my toe.

"PAIN!" I yell. "PAIN! PAIN! PAIN!"

"Shut up. Just give me Charlie's number," she says.

"Or what?" I ask, narrowing my eyes.

"Or this," she says, and punches me in the face.

"MORE PAIN! MORE PAIN! MORE PAIN!" I scream, and clutch my hand to my face. Most people in the room look over at me, including Charlie and the girl. To my horror, the girl is Naomi.

I sink to my knees, sadness overwhelming me. A tear falls down my face. I'm just so angry. It's like he doesn't care about anyone else. Just himself. It's not fair.

I stand up, and wipe my eyes on my sleeve. I can see that Naomi looks guilty, but Charlie seems unfazed by the whole scene.

"I'm leaving," I say quietly, walking out of the house. I hear footsteps behind me.

"Leo, don't start overreacting again," Charlie huffs.

"How exactly am I overreacting?" I say icily.

"I...you know what, leave then," he says.

"That's what I was trying to do. And Charlie?"

"Yeah?"

"Tell Naomi me and her are done. She's all yours now."

"OK. Don't do anything...stupid."

I walk into to town. It is only eight and I said I'd be home at eleven. I don't think that includes wandering around town but who cares?

I sit at the park for a while. It is not too dark yet, but not light enough for it to be considered safe by my mum to be out alone in. I better head back.

There is a shortcut to my road through the park down an alleyway, which takes a good ten minutes of the journey, and I decide it is a good idea to take this route.

I am walking slowly down the alley, illuminated by street lights, when I hear someone hiss in my ear.

"I hadn't finished speaking to you, Leondre." It is Lauren.

"Please just leave me alone," I beg.

"Not until you give me Charlie's number. Your little girlfriend gave me a wrong number, which I don't appreciate very much. I could go and ask her for it if you want."

"I can't! He'll hate me."

"What would you prefer, arm or leg?" She asks.

"What?"

"Okay, leg." She steps down hard on my foot, the heel of her shoe stabbing into my toes. I hear a sickening crunch, and cry out.

"Stop!" I weaken. "Fine."

She hands me a notebook and marker and I fish out my phone from my pocket, copying down the numbers. I give her the notebook and pen back.

"Can I see your phone?" She asks. I hand it cautiously to her. To my horror, she throws it on the pavement and crushes it underfoot, my very expensive iPhone 5C.

"What was that for?" I gasp, in a state of utter horror.

She smiles demurely. "It was fun."

She flips her hair and walks off, kicking a blue chunk of iPhone along the path. I am going to be in so much trouble.

With great difficulty, I limp home. I fall over once, and cut my knee, so by the time I arrive home my foot feels like it is about to fall over, and there is blood and dirt covering the rest of me.

"Leo!" Joey gasps, as he opens the front door. I immediately burst into tears and collapse at his feet. Joey picks me up effortlessly and carries me into the sitting room, laying me on the sofa.

"Get off Leo!" Matilda grumbles. "I'm trying to watch the TV."

"What is going on in here?" My mum says, entering the room. She sees me and runs straight over.

"Leo! What happened?"

"Fell over," I lie. "Smashed my phone and caught my foot. I think it's broken."

"Tell me where it hurts." She gently prods my foot and I scream. Matilda jumps about a foot in the air and mum looks worried.

"I'm calling an ambulance," she says, reaching for the landline and dialing.

Soon it arrives, and I limp inside. They examine my leg, and tell me it is broken, in two places, and I needs to have a cast and use crutches for six weeks. We are driven to hospital and I have my cast put on.

Finally, at midnight, I tumble into bed, dreaming of a world where there are no rubbish best friends, cheating girlfriends, or evil girls who break your phones and bones.

Enjoy! I'll update at 18 votes and 5 comments. Trying a new approach. I'm not sure how I feel about this chapter. Sorry if Lauren is offended by me making her evil. Please check out my story Problem?
