"Scepticism is man's finest tool in a waging war."

Jack sat beside a woman as he sipped on his drink, he looked towards her and said, "So how has the evening been for you Ms Mary?"

"It has been going smooth for now, if you're there with me then it's all well and good Mr Jack"

"Oh really? I hope you don't regret those words later"

"Why would I?"

"That's because I am the Leather Apron"

"The Jack the Ripper man? Really? No I don't think you are, you're just a really good looking and a sweet man"

"Yes, that I am"

"Oh you silly, don't joke around like that. It might be misleading sometimes"

"A nice flat you got, I don't think it would be that cheap for a semi-furnished one like yours is"

"Don't you think? I pay 16 shillings a week for this, that landlord is a miser"

"Doesn't sound cheap, but for what it's worth, it must be really nice to stay here. So if you scream will people be able to hear you from outside?"

"Oh so this is another one of your Jack the Ripper jokes? I get it. But I don't think anybody could hear us from the outside if there were any sounds made"

"Hmm, I see. So Miss Mary shall we have some wine I brought with me tonight?"

Arthur sat at the same desk while grumbling to himself about how bored he is, while he grumbled to himself, Thomas walked by and Arthur shouted, "He's been gone for a month now, why does he keep doing this and this time the papers have been talking about him a lot for the past couple of days. The notes that he keeps giving us after every murder he commits are being put up and people are scared now that he might come for them, that is why London's roads have been so empty lately"

"Sir, I think that now that he has obtained his objective, he might be tired of killing people, and just wants to live a happy life"

"Don't make me laugh Thomas, this man is a serial killer he doesn't stop until he gets what he came for and how do you know what his objectives are?"

"Well it is really simple to understand from those words he writes for us, he just wants revenge and is trying to play God"

"You might be right, but you see, the world we live in is more like a white sheet of paper and when something is written, it can always be erased and rewritten. But every time you try rewriting, there is a small amount of residue that is left behind that taints the whiteness and makes it darker every time there are changes made"

"Yes Sir, that sure is true. Murders he is committing are a way of showing the unforgiving nature of this world, it does not care if you are trying to do good, if it has its way with you, then all is fine. He wants the people to know that what he is doing is the same thing they did to him, making them realize their sins, even if it means he has to carry it all by himself."

"I agree with those words Thomas, and could you read that postcard again, the one that we got after the Catherine Eddowes and Elizabeth Stride murders"

"The text of the postcard reads,

I was not codding dear old Boss when I gave you the tip, you'll hear about Saucy Jacky's work tomorrow, double event this time, number one squealed a bit, couldn't finish straight off. Had no time to get ears off for police, thanks for keeping last letter back till I got to work again.
Jack the Ripper."

"Thomas this postcard has nothing in it, but there is something that bothers me, the words 'double even this time' bothers me a lot"

"Why Sir Fredric? What happened?"
