"Ideologies are but tools of warfare that two minds are at."
"Mother, I brought you this"
"Oh dear, what is that your brought?"
"I brought you a flower, from our garden outside"
A man entered through the door behind them, "Is anybody home?"
"Father, you're home!"
"And look what I brought home with me today. I brought little Arthur, the stuffed toy that he saw back at the store the other day"
"Thank you father, and look what I gave mother"
"You gave your mother a flower from our garden? What a man you are"
"Father, where is my toy? Even I wanted one"
"Edward I got you one as well, here you go, this one is yours"
"Thank you father"
"Arthur come here son"
"Yes father, what is the matter?"
"Do you know what I do?"
"No father"
"Arthur, I kill people. I am a very bad person, and after my death, you will be the one to take over what I do"
"Father, why will you die?"
"Because everybody that does bad things will be punished"
"But you also do good things, you help the people who have been wronged and help the poor with food and clothes, you even make things for people, like the hammer and many other stuff that are made by iron and steel"
"Arthur, listen son. What I do is wrong and cannot be justified as right, but if you know that what you're doing is right, even if the whole world thinks it is not, never give up"
"Arthur, how have you been? it sure has been a long time"
Arthur shaked his head and with a surprised look said, "Ah, the infamous Jack the Ripper. You have nothing left to say, just get on with it, I can see the gat in your hand"
"I have to say, you have some sharp eyes"
"Edward you and me will die tonight, I'm sorry I couldn't do anything to protect my younger brother but please forgive me"
"Oh hold on a minute, not so fast. You guys are not dying just yet"
"I want you to see something first"
Jack tied their hands up and led them up the stairs of the cellar, he took them to a room which had a stench to it. He opened the door and what they saw was something that none of us would have ever thought of.
He said, "You see this? These are the little children that roam the streets of Whitechapel. This place belongs to Ethan Williams and John Hastings, they both sold children and women as goods and made a profit out of it. Hastings made a deal with the highest bidder and got the money all for himself, and when Williams knew of this, his heart turned green and wanted his friend dead and well he hired me and paid me to kill him and I did and killed Ethan as well, but he got away. I completed what I needed to do, every newspaper in England reports stories about Jack the Ripper, who he is rumored to be and what made him do what he did. They know that if they do it over again they might see another Jack the Ripper and might have to go through all that again."
"What are you trying to tell us?"
Jack took them out onto the roads, they stood on the side of the pavement. A large bed of flowers was blooming beside them, the perfume given out by them was sweet and mellow, they stood under gray passing cloud and felt the gloom slowly envelop them. Jack picked up a black rose from the flower bed and while he plucked of the petals of the flower one by one, he said, "What I had to do has been done and now I have no use to this world. The world might change and might not after all the effort that I put in, but I am tired of seeing the same things over and over again. Every night I see her, she whispers in my ears saying, "Jack you don't have to do this, leave everything and come to me, let the world rot, nobody cares". But I never gave up, I had to show the world what it does to people and how it would feel when done the same to it. I have become what I despise, a man who murders, but it had to be done otherwise, there was no way for the world to be disciplined. My mother once told me, "The world is full of terrible people, but that doesn't mean it cannot be changed". All that one needs to fulfill, is the heart of determination and that's all there is to achieving your goal."
Jack dropped the stalk of the flower he had picked up, walked a few steps forward and untied them and took them out on the roads. He stood in silence for a while and turned around with a rifle in his hand, looked at the ash turned sky with a satisfying look on his face. His cheeks felt the subtleness of the raindrops that fell down the dark gray clouds, the winds blew softly as the darkness covered the land. The gunshot was loud and was heard over a distance, Jack's lifeless body fell to the ground as the sound of the firearm receded. The silence was overwhelming as people were running away from them, the silent cry of darkness was prominent but could not be heard, the clouds roared with lightening and thunder.
Arthur kneeled beside Jack's dead body and said, "Jack, you have put in great effort but what you did were not justified as right. I appreciate your effort and your determination, and will forever remember you, not as a criminal but as someone who wanted good for the world and nothing more, the one who wanted no one else to suffer the same fate as you did. I hope your soul finds peace in the afterlife."
Arthur walked away from the corpse that laid on the cold, rain covered ground. The murkiness of blood mixed with the rainwater made the ground brownish-red, Jack's body was left to rot, all alone on the side of the pavement.
