Love me, through it all
The beautiful days
The dark days
The days when I am drowning
the days when I am lost...
For it is love,
And only love,
That heals all wounds....
The chilly conditions of the new country wasn't unexpected but totally underestimated.
Aria hugged her jacket closer as she got off the car.
The young 'couple' were supposed to stay a day or two at Awez's place that is Rizz's former home and then move to the pent house that Rizz bought for him and Aria.
"Still quite new for you, right?", questioned one of Rizz's friend, Nawal.
Aria being an omnivert was shocked and exasperated when she saw a whole bunch of new, young people around her age waiting for her and Rizz at the airport with bouquets and chocolates.
She knew Rizz was a happy go type of a guy but again she underestimated.
He had a lot of friends.
A lot.
"So Rizz's cousin told me he proposed to you in front of the whole family when he was asked to marry some other girl. Did he see you as his saving rope in a well? Is it true?", this question again came from a girl, Shanira, a lot more curious than others.
Aria, being a girl could sense the tension in the air now and looking at the subversive expressions of the other people she instantly knew the matter.
This woman had a crush on her husband.
Pasting an overly sweet smile on her face, Aria passed a look at Rizz and then looked towards
the woman she already disliked within five minutes.
Aria's disdainful reply coated with sugary words were settled on her tongue but before she could shoot them, Fariha and Awez came to the porch to welcome the young couple.
Awez and Fariha came two days earlier than Aria and Rizz just to settle in.
"Oh, here my children are! Welcome!", Awez greeted with a great enthusiasm and Aria decided to let her anger take a back seat.
The welcoming hugs and kisses were exchanged and after a session of snacking and discussing random stuff, Rizz's friends left, promising to return the next day to help Rizz and Aria shift and settle into their new home.
Soon, Aria was left in Rizz's room and her little eyes scanned the immaculate surroundings.
She stretched a little to let the exhaustion out of her bones and awkwardly sat on the chair kept near the big balcony.
Rizz gave a small knock on the door and then entered as the door was already left ajar by Aria.
She saw Rizz nimbly walk towards the walk in closet and disappearing and almost jumped when the vibration of his phone broke the silence of the room.
She could faintly hear Rizz talking in a sonorous manner to someone, making her realize how differently he talks when he is with her.
After twenty minutes or so, Rizz appeared back into the room, all dressed crisp and formal. Aria could smell his aftershave mixed with his cologne and then she noticed how he has removed his light stubble that grew in the hours at the flight.
"I know that chair is comfortable but it isn't too comfortable to spend the whole day in it.", Rizz commented as he wore his watch and straightened his blazer.
This was the first time Rizz has said something casual to her since their conversation after their Nikah.
Aria didn't know how to respond to that so she just stared at him like he was a responsible adult and she was a lost kid.
