A/n: Okayyy so I know I don't usually post author notes before a chapter but this was needed.
So first of all, Ramadan Mubarak! May Allah Swt bless us all. Stay safe, stay blessed.

And now, well I've noticed that there are so many reads but like hardly any votes or comments and it really pains me to see that. Like I really work alot on these chapters and ik I'm not very good now but I'm trying to improve but such lack of response really kills the vibe, ygm?

Same with my previous book 'Meant To Be'. People have added it to the list, they read it but don't vote. I love you all but please be a bit considerate and respect the works of the writers and help them improve and support them.

I might delete the previous book and even stop with this one because honestly, it takes a lot of time and efforts to write.

We write because we love it, yes, but the least y'all can do is hit the vote button and post a comment once in a while.

Once again, I really love you all, but the silent readers please think about what I just wrote.

Thank you. And yes, this is my longest chapter in this book so far so grab a snack and enjoy!

Ps: Its Ramadan and I don't post in Ramadan but this chapter was long due so yeah here it is!

"You, my darling
Are the chaos in the stillness of my life,
The drizzle in the parched soul,
The music of my pale thoughts
And the tune of my beating heart."

If anyone would've said that both the families of Awez and Fariha have known each other for merely a month then Zainab would've been baffled. She stared as she saw how well the elders were blending in together, discussing random topics and laughing with joy.

Her legs were shaking continuously as she drummed her fingers on her lap, her eyes still on the front door as she waited for Rizz and Yahya to enter with the rest of Fariha's relatives.

"Samreen aunty! Where's Aria? She's coming, right?", Naila questioned as she came in with the house helps with some drinks and water.

"Yes, yes, the little brat is coming. She's with the other kids, they are coming from another elevator.", Samreen replied and as she finished, the door opened revealing Aria with her cousins along with Rizz and Yahya.

Zainab knew who Aria was since Naila told them about the fritters incident that took place at Fariha's place and how much Awez and Tahrina are fond of her but Zainab never saw her so she was curious.

But all the curiosity went out of the window when she saw a girl in a navy blue dress and cream coloured hijab entering with Rizz in tow with her as he whispered something to the girl who just nodded with a small smile.

And Zainab instantly knew who she was.

She felt something burning inside her as her fingers curled into a fist.

The 'love' she held for Rizz was more like an obsession. She had been obsessed with him since the day he helped her with her school homework when he visited Dubai for a vacation eight years ago. She always loved how carefree he was and how nervous he was around her. Only if she knew it was not the nervousness instead the annoyance he always used to control whenever she was around him.

"MashaAllah MashaAllah! The hijab looks so good on you, my child.", Tahrina complimented as she held Aria's hand and kissed her on the forehead.

Aria smiled warmly at her and muttered a 'Jazakallah', her heart filling with happiness.
