Yeah yeah POV ( They all are going to college)
Of course my parents had to ship me off to military school so I couldn't even finish high school with my friends and girlfriend. I couldn't play baseball at the sandlot or go on ice cream dates or dance in the rain with Kate. I couldn't hang out with my best friend squints, it was just what I wanted for my last two years in school. I was here for two years already and I was about to go home before I go to college. I was on the bus and I saw Kate walking down the road she was dirty and she was carrying a bag, I got out of the bus and I ran up to her and hugged her she then started to cry, Kate never cried but she was now and I don't know why. She tried getting out of the hug, she was kicking and screaming once I let her go she looks up to see me she smiled a little it wasn't her smile I fell in love with. She then hugged me so tight, "Kate tell me what happened?" I said while looking into her beautiful blue eyes, "My mom and dad kicked me out because the college I want to go to they didn't approve of so they kicked me out." She then bursted more into tears come on let's go to my house I said NO WE CANT she screamed "Why not?" I said b-because it's g-gone when you were a-away peoples started b-burning down peoples houses and your house was one of them" she said what about my parents kate where are my parents? They are staying with hams family she said. " Yeah yeah everything we ever knew this town it's just leaving us ever since you left things have been getting worse, Amber almost died from a car accident and Bertram we haven't heard from him since a year ago he got more into the 60's when you left. Timmy and Tommy left for college a few days ago, but Jasmin and Benny are doing great actually, Scarlett isn't doing well she started doing drugs and she is trying to stop she started after amber getting in a car accident. Kenny got married a few weeks ago since he's almost 19 and ham became a pro wrestler and squints and Samantha are still together. But everyone is changing in there own ways and no one can stop it." I looked at her shocked I put my jacket on her and we walked to the only place we could think of a the moment, Jasmin's house. We knocked on her door and she answered everything was everywhere the kitchen was a wreck Chris wasn't home cause he left a couple of years ago with Wendy to college and her parents moved away so it was just her and Benny he moved in to help her out. " Hey kate hey yeah yeah it's good to see you Benny will be glad to see you come on in" she said in a innocent voice. Benny was in the process of cleaning everything up " yeah yeah bro I haven't seen you in so long." He stopped what he was doing and gave his best friend a hug. Jasmin and Kate were in the kitchen cleaning Kate up and just talking and laughing, if we had the whole crew it would be like old days. "So how's the sandlot doing?" Oh well we haven't been there in a while cause the town is a wreck and we have so much to do now it's just impossible to find time to go see it and play like old times." Jasmin said.
Jasmin's POV ( a year earlier )
Me and Benny were on our way home from playing at the sandlot we were holding hands and laughing everything was good until "WATCH OUT" someone yelled then yeah yeahs house caught on fire me and Benny ran into the house and got his little sister and parents out, this was the start of everything that was about to happen. A few weeks later Amber got into a bad car accident and almost died after that Scarlett started doing drugs from the pain she was feeling for amber. Kenny got married and Bertram went on full lockdown, yeah yeah parents sent him away to military school and Kate was devastated. Samantha and Squints live with each other same as me and Benny cause all of our parents moved away, Timmy and Tommy went to college after they heard what happened. Ham left but he always visits. The whole crew was falling apart and I was sad, I would always take my anger out on stuff we had at home Benny at night would just hold me and hug me on the couch deep down he was sad too but he had to act stronger for me. It had been months but felt like years just since yeah yeahs house burnt down me and the gang didn't know what to do, we stopped going to the sandlot for fear something might happen while we were away. Really the only thing we hoped for was to get out of this town but right now it just didn't seem like the moment something was coming something big was coming and I had to find out.
Kate's POV
I was coming home from a nice walk I had to clear my head everything's as nice until I heard yelling I ran inside my house to hear what all the yelling was about. "There she is there's the wonderful KATE ADAMS who thinks she can go to any college she likes well you guessed wrong if you want to go to UCLA pay for it yourself! Also go pack your bags your getting out of me and your mothers house you can go live somewhere else!" Just like that I was homeless you could say I ran upstairs on the verge of crying I couldn't i barely ever cried and it was new to me, crying was a whole new level of sadness and I didn't know how to take it, I missed him I missed yeah yeah so much, my parents knew these past 2 years have been extremely hard on me they just didn't care though. I pack my stuff and climbed out the window I didn't want to face my parents again, I climbed out and slid carefully down my slanted roof, and fell into a bush. I started to walk and walk and walk it was hours until I felt a hug I didn't know what to think anymore so I kicked and screamed it was the only thing I could think of, suddenly the person let go I looked up and saw him the one I cried for months for he was here standing in front of me I hugged me and kissed him I was happy again I got yeah yeah back now I wanted the whole crew back. We headed over to Jasmin's and Benny's place or where they were staying and we had a great talk I told them what my parents did and they told me and yeah yeah stuff about them it was all happy again all the sad stuff that happened over the last 2 years this was the happiest moment I could think of other than playing baseball at the sandlot with all my friends.
