(1) Rough Day,Fights & Tears

"Get up Barnes.." Steve said as he flicked Bucky's ear. 

Bucky rolled over and yawned. "How much longer are you going to be sleeping on the couch? It's been four months." Steve said 

"Steve if you and Peggy want S E X I won't mind. It's not going to bother me." He said as he saw Steve's kids in the kitchen. 

Peggy came over with a cup of coffee for Bucky. "It's not that James. You and Sadie need to be working things out not avoiding it." She said 

"Thanks for the advice Pegs. But we are working through our problems in marriage counseling. I am not the problem she is the problem. But if you all don't want me here I'll go crash at a hotel tonight." He said as he got up and went to get ready for work. 

Bucky packed up what he had at Steve's. "Buck.." Steve said 

"I get it Steve. I thought we were brothers and you would be here for me during this." Bucky said as he walked out with his stuff and put it in his trunk. 

Bucky clocked in at the hospital and did his rounds on his patients. He was a cardiovascular surgeon at NYU Hospital. As he was scrubbing in for a surgery his estranged wife Dr Sadie Barnes came into the scrub room. 

"Hey don't forget.." she said 

"I know marriage counseling at 6. Maybe you should be the one reminding you considering I don't forget the important things or put something above something else." He said as he walked backwards into the OR. 

Across the way in the medical arts building at Peterson's women's clinic was Dr Delaney Peterson a OB/Gyn and maternal-fetal medicine specialist along with her cousins. She was getting her day started with her first appointment of the day. 

Around noon she spent the rest of the work day at the hospital on the L&D floor delivering babies and checking in on patients on the maternity floor. Down on the surgery floor Bucky was preparing himself in the scrub room. He just lost a patient and now he had to go tell his family. 

When Delaney's work day was finished she headed to a cemetery in Manhattan after she went home and changed. 

"Happy 1st birthday baby girl.." she whispered as she laid stuff on her daughter's grave. 

She sat down and cried. 

Meanwhile Bucky was checking his watch as he sat alone in the counselor's room. Sadie was ten minutes late. 

She came in "I'm sorry..I'm sorry." She said as she sat down. 

"The fact that I picked up all three kids and dropped them off at mom's and still made it on time says a lot." Bucky said 

"I have a job..and the other surgeon to relieve me didn't show up." She said

"It's always that excuse. Like how you showed up an hour later to our anniversary dinner last year. Or my other favorite I'm to tired for sex." He said 

"Sorry.." she said 

"You know I run my own practice and work long days too. But it's me that has time for the kids, I make and plan things for me and you. You don't appreciate any of it.  And one of these days the kids are going to start wondering why mommy is always gone." He said 

"Hey that's not fair!" She said 

"It's true Sadie and the truth hurts. You missed Memphis' and Caroline's ballet recitals last month! KJ had a baseball tournament in Buffalo I took the whole week off packed me and the kids up there. You weren't there for that either! I am the only one that has been trying for the last 5 years of our marriage. We have been married 13 years Sadie and our marriage has been crumbling and it's all your fault." He said 

"Okay okay you two. Let's all take a breathe now that we got that all out of our systems." Dr Cox said 

Bucky looked down as Sadie wiped tears. The session continued as Delaney headed to Bo's Kitchen and Bar Room. 

"The usual Ms Dela." Joe said 

"Yup.." she said as she smiled.
